I will only use the pronouns of the sex a person was born
I will use preferred pronouns only for people who clearly are living as the other gender
I will use preferred pronouns like "they", but not crazy ones like "faer" or "bun"
I will refer to people with the pronoun they ask for, regardless of how crazy-sounding

On a related note. Everyone in my family went to visit my dad for his birthday, I see the extended family maybe once every 5 years. So I take my family over to my brothers condo to work out logistics of who’s driving where when are we doing junk. There is a kid I don’t recognize, who I originally think is my bros nephew, my son thinks the kid is my nephews boyfriend (the nephew and this kid we’re getting along really well), after about 10 minutes I figured it out it was my niece who is transitioning or has transitioned to male.
That my son thought it was my nephews boyfriend caused me great enjoyment..haha.
My bro deadnames his “son” constantly. Personally it would have been nice to have a heads up on this whole situation because now I have no clue what to call this person or what topics are really off limits, eventually I ask my sister in private what this kids new name is.
In general I called the kid by their new name and didn’t call out my bro for dead naming his own kid, that’s his business. I also did not pry into wtf is going on with your kid. The kid did seem happier as a male so good for him I guess.

Dan Druff: answer the question snowflake
Don’t be abusing the rep system now you fucking lying hypocrite.
I did answer the question. Then you deleted the poll you dumb fuck
You also asked for opinions… my opinion is your old and dumb and a fucking liar too
I’ve only interacted with one trans my whole life. He turned into a she and we didn’t have any issues. Other than that, I call it like it see it.

At what grade is the difference between words like "you're and your", or "their, there, and they're" taught in American schools?

It depends on the school. I’d be surprised if most schools didn’t at least introduce the concept of homophones in first or second grade. The ones involving contractions, as best I remember from my own elementary schooldays in the 1970s, were taught first in third grade (age 8–9). There are several elementary subjects that address the concept: reading, spelling and English (grammar).

"your old and dumb"
Says it all.
I deleted the other thread and merged into this one because the two were similar. I forgot that I created this one in 2022.
I'd like to understand why I am "dumb" (I'll concede the old part).
If someone wants you to use the pronouns fae/faer or bun/bunself, will you use them? What if you're at a party with a bunch of woke people and there's 100 people, all with different, non-obvious pronouns. What are you going to do? Carry a notepad and jot them all down?
Libs love to say, "Just be polite and use the pronouns people want", but the whole thing is stupid and impractical in real life.
As I mentioned earlier in this thread, there is was guy I knew in the '90s who I'm still in occasional contact with. He is now a she. This person lives 100% of the time as a female, goes by a female name, and dresses female. I refer to them now as "she" and their new female name. No problem.
We also have a trans radio listener who messages me occasionally. I didn't know this person when they were male, but I have no problem referring to this person using female pronouns and their present female name. Again, we are talking about an actual trans person who lives full time as female.
I won't use "alternative" pronouns such as they/them, fae/faer, bun/bunself, etc. That's stupid and you look ridiculous using them.
Explain what is "dumb" about my position here?
Also I can't abuse rep, because it's my site and I can do whatever the fuck I want.
However, I used rep correctly by my own guidelines. You made an obnoxious, insulting, low quality post to me, and didn't explain yourself. So I red repped you.
A party with 100 wokes? Sounds like a real barn burner. A gay old time.
Bunself rofl.

In Europe there's a huge fight about this between the "trans lesbians" and the regular lesbians. Those two groups despise each other.
For some reason that fight never really made it over to the US.
Of course, the woke left took the side of the trans lesbians.
JK Rowling, who is straight and married, took the side of the regular lesbians (and other women who didn't want trans women in their spaces), which is why the left hates her now. This is despite the fact that she's a lifelong liberal.

In general, you would think transgenderism is the single biggest issue in the United States based on what you see online, but as a day-to-day affair, it's really not.
With that out of the way, I'll address the questions you've asked in this thread.
It's certainly easier to call someone the opposite of their, 'Birth gender,' or whatever vernacular you prefer, if they're at least trying to look the part. I only encounter one transgender person on a regular basis, someone at a local gas station/convenience store who changed her name, but always wore wigs anyway. Anyway, she's not really the type to give much of a shit about being deadnamed, or intentionally referred to with an undesired pronoun; I've obviously never done any of those things intentionally, but she's as much as stated she doesn't give a shit when it happens.
Other transgender people I've run into aren't necessarily inclined to flip out about it, based on my conversations with them; the only exception (with one or two of them) is if it seems malicious.
The thing that we should all account for when it comes to this online bullshit is that videos, posts, etc., etc., etc., are all being put out there for attention and engagement; that's the entire purpose of the shit anyway. As far as news coverage, that's just left-wing media doing what left-wing media does, pandering to the Far Left, clout chasing, making sure not to get cancelled...whatever. As far as right-wing media outlets covering it extensively are concerned, that's just right-wing media doing what it does, which is pandering to Evangelical retards who wouldn't know a transwoman if she pulled her dick out and smacked them across the face with it. You can't really count on them to get out and vote unless they're pissed off about some social issue that they shouldn't even give a fuck about. Actually, most of them are probably like Alex Jones and look up tranny porn.
In my opinion, non-binary is pure attention-seeking nonsense as are alternative pronouns. Non-binary is nonsense because it doesn't convey anything about what a person is and only conveys anything about what they are not. I do believe that non-binary people suffer from an unusual mental and physical disorder by which they will immediately drop dead if insufficient attention is being paid to them at all times.
When it comes to the alternative pronouns, I am simply not going to deal with it. Why should I remember something that is more difficult to remember than a person's first name? I really don't care if most people live or die, so I definitely don't have time/am insufficiently concerned to learn something that I'm going to have a more difficult time keeping track of than a person's name. I'll just always refer to them by name if they/them is not something they can live with.
Of course, I'm going to avoid those people anyway. I'm treating them like I would everyone else. They're not worth the headache and nor are most people worth the headache beyond basic pleasantries. If anyone came up to me, regardless of gender, and told me that, in order to associate with them, I must learn some new word and always be able to recall that word, then I would tell them to fuck themselves.
In any event, the only transgendered people I've ever engaged with are the ones who have wanted to be called the gender they are superficially attempting to appear as, so that's easy enough. I've only met one person who claims to be non-binary, but I think they just want to be part of that community for reasons I could only guess at (and they would be by virtue of being bisexual anyway), and that person wants to be called they/them in the third person. Fine. If that ever changes to xe/xir or whatever bullshit, then I'm simply not going to address them by anything but first name and generally avoid them anyway.
If there was some individual with a beard who wanted to be regarded as, 'She,' then I would probably go ahead and do that, but then I would make a mental note to avoid them.
But, you really can't put too much stock in this online attention-seeking bullshit as actually being applicable to real life. Nor can you put much stock in the surveys that would include 'Non-Binary,' as qualifying a person as transgendered because those surveys have a clear goal of boosting the numbers. In order to 'be non-binary' all a person has to do is say they are that; therefore, it doesn't mean anything, as far as I am concerned. Everyone online is really blowing this shit way out of proportion when you're actually talking about maybe 0.5-1% of the population, tops.
As far as the fabric of society being ripped apart, or whatever bullshit thing, it's not as if we had such a harmonious society, in the United States, such that there was ever a status quo actually worth preserving. What was it 100 years ago? Glorified theocracy. You basically couldn't even be openly irreligious in your public life.
So, it's bullshit either way. The flavor of bullshit hardly matters to me. Online, I hate almost everyone. In my thoughts, I hate some 50% of people. In-person, I can fake it well enough to get along with almost anybody. If people make the last of those three things too difficult for me to do, then I will simply avoid them.
Don't Tread on Anyone, mothafucka!
I don't think it's something that you would hear lesbians in the United States discuss too openly, at least not often, but I can assure you that some of them are displeased. As you stated, the woke left took the side of the trans lesbians, so I think the better part of lesbians in the United States know better than to lament such things publicly.
Honestly, the only part that would be mildly annoying---if it were true anywhere but on the internet---is the implication that both (born) men and women are required to have sex with transexual people who want to have sex with them. Patent absurdity. Even if I were single, I wouldn't have sex with what...90-95% of all adult individuals who were born women, and not have sex with 100% percent of men? Why should I be required to fuck a transexual woman when I wouldn't fuck the vast majority of people who were born women in the first place? I could disqualify a woman for being 15+ years my senior, but I couldn't disqualify someone for having larger biceps than I do as well as a dick? What sense does that make?
But, again, that only exists online. I couldn't imagine someone even making such an implication in-person, much less directly saying this.
Don't Tread on Anyone, mothafucka!
Lol at bunself what is that a cincabun?
