my morning routine includes doing such things as getting a coffee and putting 6 dollar a gallon gas in my car
Oceans 11 happens to be right off the 1-5 freeway and less than a 1/2 a mile from several gas stations, the beach, shopping, restaurants etc
I spend a great deal of time in this part of north county and often stop in Oceans 11 to eat breakfast and say hello to all the people that know me here because I’m a fucking legend and they all know I crush heads here more often than not

Regarding poker Tyde's video, I officially left the game outside of very recreational play around 2010. I may have told this story, probably have but I was in the Hooters Casino in Vegas circa 2010, and believe it or not they have a poker room like 3 tables. I had by then repaired myself financially, mentally and emotionally after a 7 year Odyssey which began when I was home sick from work and stumbled on an ESPN poker game which fucking ruined the next 5 years of my life. Moneymaker era.
Anyway, I'll be brief, but I sat next to a very normal looking guy and we chatted it up. Apparently he was in year #2 of becoming a poker pro, had quit his teaching job which led to his divorce and cashed out his retirement and moved to Vegas. He was lamenting he totally ruined his life, and was down to like his last $30K or something. He literally was cracking up I thought he was probably a week away from a total nervous breakdown. I asked him why not go back to teaching, apparently he destroyed his credit so badly the last two years he would not pass a background check. I guess its tough to teach kids when you got bill collectors blowing up your phone every day.
I went into another poker room the next day and scanned the room and saw some of the biggest fucking dead beats I have ever seen. I could not bring myself to sit down and just went into the sports books and watch games and place $20 bets until my flight the next day.
A few weeks ago I was in a casino and it was 10:00am and playing Ultimate Texas Hold'em a dealer based game in the pits. I turned around and there is this really odd guy behind me watching me play. I was like, hey man plenty of seats, sit down. He was like, um no, the poker room does not open until 11am but I love the game so much I just like watching every form of poker. I looked at him, and he had all these fucking stains on his shirt, unshaven for like a week, and three inch long eyebrows. This is the guy waiting for the poker room to open.
I can see why Tyde did a 360, the game is so socially destructive I am actually surprised the early poker death rate is not much higher.
Is it me or does it seem Marty was hung over again? Either that, or the assumption he was just an asshole due to his drinking was totally mischaracterized. Perhaps he really is a just a miserable lonely nearly 60y man who constantly exaggerates his own self-worth and importance.
obv I’ve logged thousands of hours playing live cash games at casinos all over L.A. and Vegas
most of the time it’s just not fun and seems like a total grind lately. I haven’t played a single hand of poker for over 6 weeks now
truthfully, I don’t particularly enjoy being shoulder to shoulder with this crowd.
The conversation is virtually non-existent, and most of the time everybody at the table is just zoning out on their phones when they aren’t in the hand…it’s fucking boring

Obv played all the time and had light success, effectively making me a college kid who always had some level of extra cash and could afford jackoff vacations like Cancun and Puerto Vallarta where we would just party nonstop.
Didn't start losing until right around Black Friday, which in hindsight was a blessing for me as life was now real and I needed to focus and pivot away from the aforementioned lifestyle of dicking around.
Moved to Nepal with my then girlfriend (now wife) fairly fucking broke; probably in line with whatever naturalborncuckold (RIP) is earning when the tips are just average and he makes sure to wipe down the dashboards. Fortunately one can live on peanuts in a developing country.
Then the epic W0RMH0L3 happened and I just started riding it heavy, in part because I was abroad in a country where it felt like it wasn't real and I didn't have a way to withdraw. With the time change I would just fire, go to bed and wake up richer. I jumped on after a couple of weeks and stayed through the Goldfarb debacle when it then petered out.
I'm likely one of the few who are indebted to this forum for existing; without it, I would probably have kept grinding and very well may be groveling for a loan, about to get booted from a sublet as a consequence of not being able to afford the dentist.
In short: poker = faggot, C$ = god.
