    Kayaks

    Anybody here do it? What is the best kayak, meaning most comfortable to use. I now live around many lakes and want to explore.

    I kayaked a lot in west palm. Used an ocean rambler kayak. It wasn't enclosed when you were sitting and paddling. Hope that helps a little.

    Why don’t you explore posting pictures of this supposed "farm" you bought. People requested them when you made the thread and you said you would... and its now been nearly 3 months.

    Im starting to get the feeling that this farm doesn't really exist, or its merely some run down trailer parked out in the middle of nowhere infested with mice and raccoons.

    I have Old Town Sorrento 106 ($800-$900). It is 10’ 6” long and 44 lbs. It has a skeg and a comfortable seat.
    DO NOT underestimate the importance of a really good seat.

    Not an expert or anything, but My wife and I bought some Pelican Kayaks from Dick's 3-4 years ago, and I have no complaints. Currently on sale for $249, which is as cheap as they get.

    They start to get a lot more expensive when you get into specialized kayaks, but for basic lake and river exploring, the one linked above will get the job done.

    I saw a collapsable kayak on shark tank easy to dismantle looked really cool.
