I've recently went down the rabbit hole of Pedophile catchers on Youtube.

There seems to be a ton of groups/organizations around the US that set up decoy accounts on dating sites and pose as underage kids and they catch these pedophiles. Chris Hanson style, except they're doing this without law enforcements help.

It's amazing how disgusting so many people are towards children.

while I'm all for exposing these sickos to the world, it seems like most of these groups are only interested in money from YouTube.

I've watched a few of these and they have ad breaks like every 5 minutes on a 45 minute long video, so while they're saying they do this to be noble and protect children a lot of them are just doing it to cash checks

Some of the groups are definitely in it for the wrong reasons.

I don't really care for the groups that don't call the police or turn the evidence into law enforcement.

Even though I wish these pieces of shit would get their skull crushed in, I hate the groups that get super aggressive with the preds and/or start yelling and making a big scene.

Which is why I like Colorado Ped Patrol so much. He's professional (sometimes he can get a little aggro but typically when the pedophile is just straight up lying/trying to be tough). He calls the cops on every single catch, even if the police have told him not to. He brings a binder with all the evidence and has it sorted for the police to make it easy to flip through (Table of contents, etc)

Colorado Ped Patrol is the only Youtuber that I've ever donated/subscribed to.

I had a buddy who did this full time as a US Postal Inspector 20+ years ago. He was doing it right as the internet became huge. Based in NYC.

I assume it’s why it was handled by Postal Inspectors then, don’t know about now, as it likely involved mail order shit up until the internet.

I recall him telling me a story about how he was after a guy in the Philippines who was a prolific child pornographer. Somehow he caught him, and the US people there called local police, and then the local police called in some branch of their military.

My buddy was on the phone with the US officer located in the Philippines when the military group came in. They looked at shit for like 5 minutes and put a bullet in the guys head while my buddy was still on the phone with the American on site. That’s the proper response for pedophiles caught red handed. He was happy about it.

His wife got pregnant and he gave up that gig for more routine postal inspector shit.

Just couldn’t look at it with a kid of his own. I recall it being a pretty high burnout rate looking at that shit all day. Almost a red flag to last too long in that assignment iirc.

I've seen the Indianapolis one.

I haven't seen any ads or commercialization with those, but it's been a few months since I last watched.

That one consists of all young women, except for a tough looking black guy who attempts to intimidate the pedos they catch. However, I have noticed that he's far less aggressive with pedos who look tough themselves, whereas he goes hard against the skinny middle aged white guys.

The biggest problem with their videos is poor/nonexistent editing. Sometimes you need to sit there and wait (or fast forward) until anything happens. I guess they stream it live, but they really need to edit it down later.

Overall it's nice to see this happening though.
