Former teen actor Grayson Hunter Goss accused of scamming poker player Ethan "Rampage" Yau

Grayson Hunter Goss was a chlid and teen actor, acting from 2010 to 2017. He was born in 1998. He wasn't in any major series, but he did have a role as "Dylan" in the one season show "S.H.R.I.E.K." (not to be confused with Shrek) on the Hub Network in 2014.

    Here is his IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm4348829/

Here's a bio about his acting career: https://www.famousbirthdays.com/peop...yson-goss.html

Grayson was born in September 1998, making him 23 now. It looks like the roles for him dried up around age 18.

This is what he looked like during his acting years:

Well, apparently he's since become a wannabe poker pro, and it hasn't gone well. High stakes player Ethan "Rampage" Yau called him out on Twitter, accusing Grayson of scamming him out of a measly $1,000:

    https://twitter.com/rampagepoker/status/1537856659044720641

After Ethan called him out, Grayson resorted to the "I got robbed" excuse, which is very common among WSOP scammers who rip off their backers and loaners:

Grayson included a picture of himself, showing bruises on his forehead. There is no evidence that these were injuries sustained in a robbery. It is possible that Grayson intentionally did it to himself, was beaten up because of owing others money, or simply fell and hurt himself.

Today Ethan ran into him at Venetian, but Grayson claimed to be broke.

Grayson was accused in early 2021 of scamming two YouTubers involving the sale of an expensive camera, where they claim they paid and never received it.

Also look at the 22:12 mark, and you will see more "injury" stories, which seems to be this guy's go-to when people hassle him for their money back.

The female in the video, "Kayla J", also wrote in a comment that she has since learned that Grayson ripped off others, including one person for $8,000:

Not surprising. I bet others have contacted her before, and she's tired of hearing about her fucked up son owing people money. I bet he owes her money, too.

Notice he looks around 30 now, despite only being 23. Being a degenerate can take its toll on you.

I can't believe he actually thought the "I got mugged" excuse would actually work lol.

This guy imo is the epitome of stupid. Once he degened Rampage' $1000 he had so many opportunities to work with Rampage privately, even suggest he'd make payment arrangements with him. Rampage seems like a cool dude, the reason he took it public is because Grayson ghosted him.

He definitely looks like he aged poorly too.

Somehow this was never covered on radio. Slipped by me, even though this was my thread.

    I think it's time.

Ludwig says in the video that if Grayson “self -bans” himself from casinos, he will not contact the authorities. He may have been lied to again since Nevada doesn’t have a state wide self exclusion list. Most states do, but the one state that should doesn’t, go figure. I guarantee Grayson is already back at the Casinos.

One thing that always surprises me is when a scam victim gives the reason for justifying giving someone more money as “They did win for me that one time”. Yes, it’s called variance, bozo. With hour long sessions, it will happen about 4 out of 10 times. It’s a normal event. Grayson was just coaching him how to bet at a particular table game and he had happened to win. Grayson didn’t have his greasy paws on the cash at that point.

At the end of their session, at the tables, Ludwig gave Grayson 6k to invest (gamble) and Grayson could keep 30% of the winnings. They were to settle up at a later date. Surprisingly, at some point Grayson sent Ludwig 17k. How much of this was profit vs Ludwig’s total investment is unclear.

Now, as far as the tennis match - Grayson said the tennis player broke up with her boyfriend and he told Ludwig they need to get down as much cash as possible on the match. Gamblers get info from all different types of sources, could he have received it prior to the general public? It’s possible but not likely. Ludwig said some time had passed from when Grayson had first called him to when he was able to call him back to see what he was panicking about. This was when Grayson had the info on the players boyfriend. Since we know time had past, most likely the line would have already reflected that information. But we know any scammer/degenerative gambler will take advantage of the situation and still take the money even if the odds had changed and the bet is no longer +EV.

No chance in hell Grayson stops this on his own.

I wonder how much his trajectory would have changed if his acting career worked out past age 18.

Not that he was ever a big star, but he was doing well enough, and then the roles dried up. It's possible that his looks declined around then, so that could explain it. Usually you can continue playing "teen" roles well after 18, but we can see Grayson looks 30 at age 23, so perhaps he aged out prematurely.

Other times, the roles just disappear. This even happens to more established actors, who seemingly just can't get hired anymore, except for bit parts. Tough business.

Unfortunately, he seems to have the degenerate gambling bug, so he leverages his D level acting "fame" to get people to trust him, and you know what happens next.

As you said, little chance any of this stops unless he ends up dead or in jail. My guess is that his mom and any other family has given up on him by now.

Is anyone able to find the Tennis match that Grayson was supposed to wager on?
I don’t know much about tennis wagering but I would think it would have money lines similar to boxing matches. Example: ML -350 ML +215
    Not your typical -110, +110
I just can’t see a tennis match with no point spread being even money (unless players are evenly matched).

I’m wondering this because if this is the case and the player they bet on was a decent underdog, then her loss may have paid many multiples of the original bet and the money Lugwig would be owed should be much higher. Maybe this is why Grayson later admitted to only putting $15k on the match? But then again, is more likely he just degened the other $35k away at the tables.

Wow that was a surprisingly awesome story. Definitely in the “truth is stranger than fiction” genre. And the guy (kid?) tells it in a fast-paced entertaining manner. Not too many feelings as chilling as his Verbal Kint = keys ER soze moment, dropped phone and all. The revelation about seeing him bruise-less was pretty savage, as the kids would say.

But I’m probably more interested in the Sakkari to lose 2nd rd of major play. Just that plot line alone could be a separate great story. That she had a recent breakup is one thing, but based on Ludwig’s story, Grayson had actually gotten ahold of some extremely valuable and privileged inside info that she was looking to go home and be done with the tourney. This kid Grayson is like a super degen Forrest Gump. How does that mug get access to that type of info? About a female Greek player in France? And it’s still on the board so the shops don’t know.

Remarkable if true. Darkly ironic (think Keitel martingaling the Mets in Bad Lt) if Grayson was actually counting on her to win and didn’t get it down (she must have been anywhere from -300 to -1500 for a 2nd round slam match) and was only panicked for other reasons, like he owed the wrong people. Every few years there are reports of lower ranked Eastern Euro women and sometimes mens players who do the dirty deed and take a dive for a couple years salary payment. Extreme financial disparity exists between the top 10-15 players and a 50+ player, who might barely be able to cover her training and travel thru sponsorships and nets mid 5 figures or less in prizes. Those players are the easiest to corrupt in all of sports imo. Too many OC groups out there to keep track of, they only need to get to 1 or 2 of the player’s traveling team, and they’re easy to access at various locations around the world. It is extremely unlikely that at any point in the last 30 years there hasn’t been at least one corrupted player on tour at all times. They probably get caught with less success than Customs chances of catching contraband.

Maybe it’s even possible he was jonesing but he sounded more like he was going to be dopesick if he didn’t get his fix soon enough. Ehh he did sound very sick for a gambler so tough to say. The kid Ludwig is class. People react differently to getting scammed like that and he’s done everything optimal in the aftermath, for who he is. For 23, that is some advanced gambling addiction. Shame that jail or death is most likely outcome here because Grayson could make enough money to pay everyone back and then earn on a redemption tour after doing some reality doc on gambling addiction and putting his stories to paper and selling a book. Not sure which publisher he should go with hmmm

The obvious play for Grayson is PSA style reality show for in patient treatment w Dr Drew, given the Hollywood background>round on the talk shows promoting the reality show once he’s clean>write book while reality show airs>back on the talk show circuit to promote the book/show off his new bod and gf>get his 50k at a whack, but now as a paid motivational speaker and the occasional acting gig. How does he not see this? It’s one of the mortal lock blueprints for public redemption and personal financial success after suffering from “trauma and addiction” at a young age. Former child actors pretty much own the rights to certain traumas.

If he needs a quick fix and a few bucks in the meantime he should get a stake to hang out in casinos and bet people they can’t guess his age. That trajectory might even be more effective if he did some time and got him some real bruises. I can’t understand why he doesn’t take the guaranteed free money here. He might not be the second coming of Robert Downey Jr (no more movie references if I post or I’ll pay the FR). He already did the hard part by fucking up his life by 23, all he has to do now is get clean and cash that winning ticket. It’s like my uncle always told the kids on his bus route, “the saddest thing in life is wasted talent” smh

It is also possible that he had all the cash, or at least a good portion of it, but knew Ludwig would not come after him aggressively for it, especially since he is worth at least 10 million - likely much more. If Grayson really wanted to pay other people back (which he wasn’t) that 100k would likely cover his debts to many different people. But more importantly, paid to people that may actually get aggressive regarding past due debt. Keep in mind, he probably never thought Ludwig would make a video about it. Also, Grayson could pull a scumbag move and actually sue Ludwig. You ask - HOW? Well, Ludwig was recording him on the phone and Grayson said something to the effect of “Yes, Ludwig, I scammed you!” Not sure if it was said sarcastically or not, but I doubt permission was granted to record.
