There seems to be some debate on this site if Chrissy is a simpleton (no, we all agree on that) and is paying Keithy because Chrissy believes Keithy is legit.
Alternatively, Chrissy knows it is a scam and is using it to improve or change his own scams.

I voted "Chrissy knows it's a scam".
I believe he thinks he's so clever -- that he will infiltrate Craft's group, feigning like he's another lost soul who needs help, and instead will learn how to rope in suckers at a higher level than before.
He's also probably hoping to meet more Brandon Wingerter types, thus also translating into more direct money as well.
