I believe Druff is quietly performing euthanasia on his forum. I think he’s losing the youthful energy he once had to cope with the cumulative grief and aggravation that was always PFA’s operating overhead

He has made several recent statements concerning the popularity of forums in the context of social media. He completely ignores the uniqueness of the community that he once had and blames PFA’s demise on technology not how it was moderated. Obituaries will vary.

You will note his newfound focus on poker topics and far less of the white nationalist commentary. You will read nearly zero opinion regards Ukraine from him.

Druff is completely aware what is happening now. He is also fully aware of its effect.

I am sympathetic but would prefer directness.

If I was looking to destroy the forum, I would just take it down. After 10 years running this, and 18 years in the greater NWP community, nobody could accuse me of cutting and running too early.

Social media has laid waste to most forums. 2+2 is a great example. This one has actually held up relatively well considering the social media revolution of the 2010s.

You are correct that I've somewhat lost the energy/zeal to deal with the internet crazies, but that's a whole separate topic. That's the main pitch I give to the non-crazies here not to intentionally make things too difficult for me.

if memory serves there was some weird in-joke about it between her and DN and i think when youre getting tramp stamps that have a personal tie-in with a D-tier poker celebrity whose most famous moment by far is losing to gus hanson's quads, its probably time recalibrate your entire life.
