Whether you like Annie duke or not she comes from a very academic oriented family and she herself has done fairly well here even before poker. She’s also very industrious and great at promoting herself. So basically she’s a sure thing to do well in most fields.
TLDR she would have done well with or without poker.
I don’t know if her advice is worth a shit, but she’s an expert at self promotion.
