    Poker news - Micon back

Ben Yu used the final few levels of play to mount a climb up the leaderboard to end as the overwhelming chip leader heading into the Event #6: $15,000 8-Game final table at the 2022 U.S. Poker Open. Not gonna lie the dude is in a virtual tie for 2nd with Radanov (40k in chips seperates the two). That would be a hell of a story if Micon takes down a USPO title.

I guess I should watch this on PokerGo. I only watch High Stakes Poker on it, usually.

Jeremy Ausmus blowing up huge lately. Guy just sits down and constantly wins.

It's funny, because he went back to Aria mid-stakes grinder status for years after his $1m 9th place WSOP Main finish, and now suddenly he's winning every tournament and regularly plays big events.

He's a very nice guy who nearly everyone likes.

Ausmus won the previous event, as well.

This one probably belongs to Magic player Ben Yu, though, who makes up in poker skill what he lacks in height.

This one only had 47 entrants (due to the $15k price tag), and they are only paying the final table.

With 7 left, they are paying $28k to 7th and $239k for 1st.

Druff do you have any additional info on Yu?

Looking at his Hendon mob it looks like he plays quite a few 10-25k events. Is he backed? Did he strike it rich on crypto?

Looks like he makes out well but buyins add up in a hurry at those levels.

Micon;s NFT collection alone is worth 1 million.

I'd feel very safe his networth is above 10 million at this point

Net worth should include the human being ratio. Very few maintain their position.

I just know he's part of the Magic the Gathering crowd (Justin Bonomo, David Williams, Brock Parker, Gabriel Nassif, Eric Froehlich, etc). He's been around awhile, and is older than he looks (though I believe he's under 40).

I think he ran it up through poker. He also might have crypto money, but if he does, I don't know about it. I don't really follow the guy or know him well. Have played with him multiple times at WSOP (usually in limit events) and he's pleasant enough.

I was out earlier and couldn't watch. Just turned it on and I see Hellmuth went from 400k shortstack at the beginning to the chipleader with 3m!

    Wow!

And this is 8-game, not NL holdem. The guy really is a savant regarding poker. Because of his clownish behavior, people tend to dismiss him as an overrated dinosaur from the past, but somehow he's kept up with the times and keeps winning. Keep in mind that he will be 60 in 3 years.
