I will say this Putin has a legit beef over a potential membership of Ukraine in NATO. Its no different then when the USSR put nukes in Cuba. NATO has been expanding further East in decent fashion he has to draw the line somewhere.

As I type this, a full scale invasion of Ukraine has begun.
Yes, this is real and its happening. This is not a "peace keeping mission" in a disputed corner of Ukraine, this is a full scale invasion of the entire country.
The capital of Ukraine has just come under attack a short time ago. So far, it was reportedly the airport, but all of this will obviously change quickly.
Id like to keep this thread as limited as possible to news and news sources, instead of a ton of low effort posts.
I will start it off with a guys channel that broadcasts live updates from credible sources. He seems to be pretty up on what is going on. I will have more sources for info soon.
If you have anything worthwhile to share, please do.
Keep in mind that there has been a massive disinformation campaign coming from Russia, including but not limited to fake videos (many which have already been forensically debunked in the past few days)

I don't know about anybody else but that last speech from Putin is beginning to be a bit concerning. People in Russia even have pointed out Putin sounded a shit ton like Stalin in that speech. I believe his goal is to more or less take back (at least some) land that was formerly the USSR. Ive been listening to some of his speeches.
He is using the fact that since NATO expanded after the USSR fell, despite the agreements that NATO wouldn't expand in his direction, as a motive to do what he is doing.
This won't stop with Ukraine IMO. I really hope the hell im dead wrong, but I think this is just the beginning. It might take a while after Ukraine for him to make his next moves, but I think its only a matter of when.
