Wow! I think this is the first instance of a site closing an account, confiscating funds and then doing a reverse on it that I have witnessed.

Congrats to everyone involved. Though i am sure it only happened because big fish got involved.

Wow, dude got lucky thanks to Moneymaker's and Druff's help. I would withdrawal my funds and be done with them, especially if he can't be told exactly what he did to have his money confiscated.

Not sure who "Ruben" "wugwugwugwug" on twitter is? He thanks him along with Druff.

Druff, and Kevin Davis thinks your a bad guy! You help a random stranger get back $10.6k that without your help likely wouldn't have been returned. Something you received no compensation for. Good Job!

Ruben is one of the guys who played on the "ACR Stormers" team until he quit because of a dispute involving some stuff the CEO said on stream to his girlfriend. Long story.

Anyway, I guess he still has some influence over there.

You would think he would come on this thread and thank Druff. I know he did Twitter but Jeeze, helped save him 10.6k

Weird. But at least now he has his money and can choose whether or not to continue to take the risk to play there. I actually would have had much less of an issue if they let him take his money, but booted him and said he wasn't welcome anymore. That would have been their right, even though the optics still wouldn't have been very good. Taking his $10,600 with no explanation was what bothered me.

In any case, I would like to thank Chris Moneymaker for getting involved here. Apparently he was the biggest factor in getting this reversed. I was the one who brought it to him, but Chris was the one who actually made it happen. He has been a great ambassador for ACR thus far.
Yes, I've been meaning to come on here to post the update but after I posted on twitter I took a little family time away in the snow & you beat me to it. There was a lot of people who were behind the scenes here in DMs whether it was moral support, reaching out to WPN or etc. Clearly I already thanked Druff & Ruben publicly on Twitter but also would really like to thank them both again.

First & foremost, I would like to thank Ruben, he has always been a real one since I met him the past 3 years & over that time we have established a friendship & he has always been very supportive of me.
Secondly, Druff had no clue who I was from Adam but either way he heard me out & took a chance on me with my story. I am really happy that I reached out to you & you welcomed me opened arms from everything to setting up my account to being there 24/7 when I would give you updates on the situation. Next time we are in the same area, dinner is on me!
Thirdly I wanna thank all the people who helped behind the scenes & reached out the past few weeks, but due to personal preferences they want to stay anonymous.
Last, but not least, I wanna thank Mr. Moneymaker again. I have reached out to him privately & I only left him off the Twitter post due to not knowing if he wanted to be named publicly at the time. We have spoken & I expressed my thanks & I truly appreciate everyone who followed this story as well.

I took about $9k off in total & left on about $1.5k to play the Cubed Series. Also still strange about the whole situation on what lead to this, but I am strictly just using my account now for poker & sports betting, only just to be safe. Thank you again to everyone who was involved!

Who says it takes money to get things accomplished?

It’s great you took a chance and posted your situation on a poker forum you were new to...

Within a couple days you have Chris Moneymaker in your corner advocating for you. Then in less than 24 hours you have your money back.

The saying “It doesn’t hurt to ask”, is so true.

Could you have ever imagined this outcome??

    Great Story!

I'm glad he got the money back. I don't need anything from him in return. That's what this site is here for -- to allow people to post their stories when they get screwed by poker sites, casinos, sportsbooks, or other individuals.

We have helped others in the past, and I am glad there was a success story here.

Just read this thread and I'm glad it got resolved. I guess the decision at first was "final" until it wasn't lol.

I was thinking of depositing on ACR to play tournaments from time to time but after reading this I think I'll pass. These online poker and gambling sites have way too much unchecked power for my liking and I can't stomach logging into my account 1 day and seeing my funds frozen. Just not worth it.

I do want to say that MightyMau5 sent me something for my assistance, which I never asked for, but I appreciate a lot.

The money will go toward the site bills, since as most of you know, this thing runs at a loss.

I appreciate his generosity, and I'm glad he got his funds back!
