This afternoon several organizers of the counter protest pulled out for "safety reasons". That being said some of the other groups of counter protesters still plan to show up so it's not very clear how big a counter protest is expected at this time.
As of right now is scheduled to start at 2pm Saturday.

Actually, in many third world countries this is exactly what it sounds like in the big cities, pretty much 24/7. I went to Kolkata once a long long time ago, and this is pretty much what it sounded like the whole time.
But yeah, unlike the BLM protests/riots of 2020 which were mostly just a cynical excuse by many to get out of the house, create a little mayhem and get some free shit; for good or bad this protest/riot is comprised of dedicated people who actually believe in a cause, so the stakes are higher.
