    Windows 11: Y or N?

I just got the notice that I should upgrade to Windows 11. It's free, but I'm worried.

Microsoft has a pattern with every other version of Windows sucking.

    Windows 98 - Good
Windows 2000 (or ME) - Bad
    Windows XP - Good
    Windows Vista - Bad
    Windows 7 - Good
    Windows 8 - Bad
    Windows 10 - Good

So you see what's coming next.

This isn't a coincidence. Microsoft took the approach of haphazardly trying new features or look-and-feel concepts, getting public feedback, and then releasing a new version of the product which corrects what people hate.

For those who have tried Windows 11, how do you like it?

Is the look and feel very similar?

Are there compatibility issues or missing features which Windows 10 had?

I was hesitant as well but I upgraded to W11 and have had no problems. It is very similar, maybe a bit faster, and i like some of the new options for laying out the screen. It really is not that much of a difference, I have noticed nothing of interest or worthy of mention. Seems like W10 w/ a little bit of refresh. Also I am pretty sure you can revert to W10 if you don't like it after a week or so.

    The correct answer is...Fuck No.

Every single rollout of Microsoft Windows has been disastrous.

You NEVER want to be the first to upgrade.

Mid ways between NO & HELL NO

Know everything I need to do. Know where every thing is that I need. If I need to do something different, plenty of info on internet. Usually find a video on YouTube.

    Most important reason:

    All change is bad.
Tradition is a set of solutions for which we have forgotten the problems.

I gave W11 a tickle on one of my laptops.

It offers nothing that W10 gives you except for snarling up you're PC and adding some jank drivers.

It might make sense in 2024, but for right now avoid.

Been running 11 for a couple months.. really I cant tell a huge difference between it and 10 other then if your machine is 3 yrs or older it does seem to run slower honestly (Mines right at the 3 yr window). That being said theres one thing that does have me majorly concerned.. It seems every so often explorer itself (the GUI) develops a memory leak of massive proportions but if I just go into task manager and have it restart it resolves it.. Its rather random when it occurs too which is weird..
