    Can’t lie. I just assumed this was about some WWE wrestler, and I don’t even follow wrestling, but there had to be a Tonga at some point. Hopefully just their internet knocked offline and the casualties are not catastrophic. Good heads up, will follow news.

    Yeah looks like all communications are out, not just internet.

    It isn't clear how bad the death situation is. At first it was assumed that it wasn't that bad, and they were mainly looking at damage to low lying areas.

    Amazingly, there is a tsunami advisory to California, despite being over 5,000 miles away.

    New Zealand had harbor damage, but no death, due to effects from the situation, despite being 2,000 miles away from Tonga (in the other direction).

    There was some damage to boats in California, and one parking lot got flooded in Santa Cruz, but other than that, nothing.

    They did close the beaches though.

    Australia and New Zealand are going to take their time.

    By the time they get to Tonga, everyone should be dead.

    There used to be about 106,000 people on the island.

    I'm sure they can survive for a few days in a volcanic ash cloud.

    Western Tonga was hit pretty hard. Also a major underwater cable was snapped from the whole thing, so no internet or international phone calls for 2 weeks.
