There are passages in Katie Couric's book released last year that she thought something was very strange between Zucker and Allison Gollust. She pointed out that it was strange indeed when Gollust and her husband moved into the same apartment building and lived right under Zucker and his wife. Zucker asked Couric to put in a good word for him to CNN when he was lobbying for the job. He promised Couric a job if she wanted one if he got the job. Couric said the first person Zucker hired for CNN was Allison Gollust. And she never got a call from Zucker about a job.

The big question is how many people got passed over for promotions because of Zucker's favoritism for Gollust.
