I actually have thought that about being a lawyer. I think I would have been good at it, but I also would have tired of it very quickly, as there are a lot of tedious elements to that work. Plus you deal with crazy clients with unreasonable expectations (no matter what your specialty).

You would have made a good litigator. You can sniff out bullshit pretty well, can do deep research and pick up on minute details that give away everything. Reading people, a necessary skill in poker, is also necessary to be a good litigator. You need to read the room (the judge, opposing counsel, witnesses, and of course jury) to know whether or not a specific argument will fly or not. It's never to late to start. Back when I was in law school, there were several folks who retired from previous professions and wanted to go to law school. One dude lasted 1 semester - couldn't hack it. A few of them graduated, passed the bar and practiced for a while. You could do it.
