It's been unofficially announced that the WSOP will be at Bally's & Paris in 2022, and will take place over the summer again

Even though the WSOP is just concluding now, it appears we will be playing again in just 7.5 months.

Bally's and Paris will host the events in their convention space. The two hotels are physically linked together, and you can go between them without walking outside.

I do suspect parking might be a complete fiasco, as the structure doesn't seem big enough to hold all the WSOP players plus the hotel guests. However, John Mehaffey says that the big parking lot right behind Bally's can also be used:

There are also rumors that Bally's will change to be called "Horseshoe Las Vegas". This would be to prevent confusion with the newly-named Bally's casinos which are quickly being rebranded by the Bally Corporation which owns them. Caesars still has the right to use Bally's for that one property, but they'll probably get away from it, so as to both end any confusion and to avoid advertising the competition in other markets. They own the Horseshoe name, which came along with the 2004 Binion's purchase, which also got them the WSOP. There is presently no Horseshoe is Vegas, but Caesars has them in other markets.

This should make the hotel situation a bit better for the WSOP, as there will be a lot of places to stay which are walking distance from the WSOP, even for those who don't wish to stay at Bally's or Paris.

The parking structure at Bally’s/Paris is actually pretty big, but getting in an out if it is a pain in the ass. Not enough lanes. RIP Rio. Had its day. Some good memories there.

    Okay, now it's officially announced:

    https://finance.yahoo.com/news/world...160000350.html

WSOP begins May 31, 2022, and runs its usual 7 weeks.

Somehow Vince Vaughn is Master of Ceremonies, whatever that means.

I'll see you at the Seniors event, Jayjami.

The parking lot by Koval is huge...
Alas they use it as a Loading Yard and Emp. parking...
they would have to Open a KOVAL entrance.
In/Out of Paris/Ballys self Parking will have most players driving in flabbergasted before they sit down..
It IMO shall be a clusterfuck....

It’s going to be very slow and congested on that road behind the hotels leading to the Parking Garage. I personally always try to use Bally’s surface parking by the Sportsbook and it does look like they can take down some fencing and add a lot of spots there. It will still be a shit show. This will ruin some vacations from people staying at Paris/Ballys that are unaware there will be 1,000s of Poker players utilizing the parking & restaurants during that period.

One reason I really love staying at Ballys is you can walk to so many places very easily. The Bellagio Poker room is just across the bridge over Las Vegas Blvd. The place will be more packed then ever before and tougher to get a seat in the games. There really isn’t anymore room for them to utilize other than the extra tables in the Sportsbook. It will be much easier for players to go to other rooms and not feel like they might as well stay after they busted their tourney.
