Its pretty obvious this is a hit job by Goodell, due to a perfect side effect of the WFT investigation. I can just imagine him sitting there with that growing villain smile as he was shown those emails.
Don't get me wrong, Gruden is an idiot and a dickhead, so good riddance. But Gruden had been an annoyance to the NFL for years, most recently last season flaunting against the covid rules frequently.
The fact these are the only emails released shows this. League still wants to protect Snyder. IIRC, most other owners "like" Snyder, as he doesn't rock the boat much and, quite possibly, because he is incompetent. I'd guess Jones, Lurie, and the Mara's are quite content with him in place.
