I feel like we need a thread on this forum. No one reads the other side half the time.

A HUGE game changing announcement today from WSOP:



So players still must be vaccinated but now there is no longer a requirement to wear a mask for 12-14 hours in a row at the tables. I have to imagine this will drastically change many peoples plans.

I personally will be in town the first week of October and hopefully first week of November. Couple Reunion billets and probably the $1500 O8 the first week. Maybe the $600 deep stack on 4th if not still in the others. Some off site casinos have good series going at the same time for the lower stakes guy. I might check out some at The Golden Nugget and The Orleans as well.

Anyone planning on being in town for WSOP? Druff still want to foot race me?

I’m playing the $1500 O/8 and the $1500 limit hold’em during the first week. Bit the bullet and got a room at the Rio. Paying $1075 for 8 nights. I’m Diamond Plus, so your rates may vary.

I’m Diamond also. I don’t stay at the Rio though. I prefer to get away from it all honestly. I think this trip is Bally’s.

I would've played the O8, but I'm going to skip the beginning of the series (and perhaps the whole thing) this year because of Delta and whatnot.

I haven't decided about the middle and end of the series yet.

The O8 is a great event, actually. Just play solid and you should do well, provided you don't get bad beat repeatedly, which of course can happen very easily at O8. All of the $1500 Omaha events at the WSOP have fairly soft fields, at least in the early-middle goings before the fish mostly get eliminated.

Does anyone know if cash games at WSOP will fall under the vaccination rule? And if so how will they possibly enforce that?
