You can keep fantasizing I am this low wage plumber if it makes you feel better. The amount of time you waste on me is surreal. But keep it up, it makes me laugh I am in your head all day long. You actually think about me daily. LOL. What a dummy.
My post had nothing to do with you. I spend zero point zero time on you, but every time I post in the same thread as you, 100% of the time you have to direct some of your drunken plumber rage at me. You’re the obsessed faggot here. It’s not my fault you’re a broke life failure. Die in a grease fire, and failing that, go take care of your kid.

My biggest issue with camping is the narrow window in wihch you can sleep.

At night, you always have drunk loud assholes at the campsite who make it impossible, regardless of what "quiet hours" are supposed to be. Typically this dies down by about 2am.

Then at 6am, you have other assholes waking up and making a shitload of noise, because somehow morning people think the sun being up justifies them being noisy, even if it's only 6am.

And even if you don't have people waking up at 6, you have the sun beating down and turning the tent into an oven within a very short period of time.

I mean how fucking stupid do you need to be to take your one year old out in this for a daylong hike?

The temperature at the time, according to the sheriff's office, ranged from 103 to 109 degrees.

My guess is the guy killed his family then himself, there are plenty of toxic drugs you can give that do not come up in autopsies. Such as cyanide. Give me a break on a lightning strike.

Is toxic algae ever an industry problem?

Have to imagine conditions are not only disgusting but dangerous with all kinds of awful shit growing in toilets from clients who buy extra Long John Silver's over some fucking Clorox.

Doubt there's HR amongst unlicensed toilet surgeons but hoping you stay safe.

You’d be surprised how many do stupid shit like this. Still waiting for AZ to pass a stupid hiker law which means if you go up on a mountain path and it’s hot as fuck and then they have to come rescue you your on the hook for the costs like they already do with the stupid motorist law if some dipshit crosses a closed road with running water across it.. City of Phx recently passed an ordinance to shut down Camelback Mtn and Piestewa Peaks from 11a-5pm when the Temps are expected over 105. The final straw in that was having to send basically the entire on duty tech rescue team in the city home after a mountain rescue due to hest exhaustion and dehydration (total of 22 FF EMTs and Medics specially trained for high level difficult rescues from cave in combined space to high angle etc. it also took out 3 or 4 Engine companies out of service and 1 Heavy Squad and couple other complimentary pieces snd while they were able to get some back on recall OT they weren’t tech rescue qualified thus leaving other depts to cover if need be from further away

Darn it left out the real original reply reason. Some dumbass took his stepson on a hike back in 2019 and the kid died of heat stroke on a hike. Ironic that you can’t legally take your dog up a path/hike when it’s 100+ but apparently it’s ok to take your kid.

I don't think lightning is likely. They're grasping at straws here. The guy was found in a sitting position. You'd think a fatal lightning strike (somehow killing all 3 people and a dog) would have floored everyone immediately.

I still think the answer is going to be self-filtered water with something toxic in it.

I don't care what the science concluded, it makes no sense to me for the entire family and the dog. So I'm still going with toxic algae.

I somewhat agree, heat stroke kills many every year, it almost claimed me at age of 25 after jogging in intense humidity. The issue is when you get dehydrated severely you cannot drink enough fluids in time to avoid death, you have to get an IV, luckily I had someone around who took me to the hospital and I was in the ER and I think I took nearly 4 IVs. Another hour I would have been dead.

I agree, for all three to die of dehydration and effectively heat stroke is odd. The only thing I can think of is they decided to lie down for a minute in hopes of cooling off and never woke up, which is plausible when you think about it. When I was severely dehydrated, my initial thought was to lie down in a dark room, which ultimately would have killed me. For whatever reason they elected not to drink water on their hike, maybe they ran out or more likely they were liberal environmental activists who would only drink certain types of purified water and decided to tough it out until they got home. Feel sorry for the dog though.

This can kill a human being (and animals) quickly. A 58-year-old man died there from massiv carbon dioxide exposure in 1998.

    Here's a 2006 LA Times article about it: https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-...ks8-story.html

Indeed, when I visited Horseshoe Lake (in Mammoth) some years ago, I saw a sign warning about the carbon dioxide risk.

Maybe there's some sort of geological activity there which they previous didn't know about, and it belched out a bunch of CO2, killing them?

    Not likely, but perhaps possible.
The first thing that really struck me about this story was the question of "Who the fuck takes a baby for a hike in 107 degree weather?" Thats borderline child abuse.

But speaking of the weather, I'm guessing that will likely be the biggest underlying condition with the deaths. Probably was the algae, but if it was November and 58 degrees they probably make it out. When you are bordering on heat stroke, I would imagine that the effects of any poison you ingest would be amplified.

Like I said, if you are severely dehydrated you are done unless you can get an IV like right away. It's not like you can slug a bottle of water and feel better. It's clear they were totally dehydrated, and decided to take a break, passed out and died a quick death. This is really not implausible at all anymore. Maybe some germs or fumes accelerated their demise, but these idiots walked too far in one direction in 100+ degree heat with a baby no less. This happens many of time in the winter, but people have just gotten used to the fact people freeze to death in the woods, this is the same thing just temp reversed, but its always dumb asses.
