"The right to bear phones." LOL. That's good.

I've heard a lot of bad stuff about Bobby Hull in this regard.

Before we set a line - why exactly do you think he won’t play another game in the NHL? I rather agree with you but am curious which aspect of Kane’s story you think makes him a pariah as an athlete.
Primarily, the accusations of domestic violence.

Secondarily, the accusations of sports gambling and game fixing.

I actually believe him when he says he's never gambled on hockey let alone his own games. The game fixing accusations are particularly absurd as it would be extraordinarily difficult for an individual player to affect the outcome of an NHL game.

However, I'm not so sure about the spousal abuse accusations. They seem more credible and NHL teams won't want to deal with a player with that baggage. Recently, Slava Voynov was exiled to Siberia (literally) after he was arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence charges against his wife. He ended up pleading no contest and got probation. Even though he is certainly good enough and allowed to play in the NHL, no teams will touch him and he now plays in the KHL in Russia. Jake Virtanen of the Vancouver Canucks was also accused of sexual misconduct. He was never charged but the Canucks placed him on unconditional waivers and he's now playing in the KHL as well.
Somebody playing in the KHL isn’t exactly like riding the bus in the Federal
league IE the movie SlapShot. The KHL is considered the second best league in the world for Hockey and the pay there is sometimes more then they would’ve gotten in the NHL depending on the owner and team in the KHL.

NHL investigation finds no evidence Sharks' Evander Kane gambled on games

    Not surprising.

He's not attending training camp due to "unrelated allegations", aka the domestic abuse allegations.

It's definitely an odd situation, but my line is --> plays again in NHL +110. More of a 50/50 for me.

He's only 30 years old. He can still be useful in a year or two?

Also I wonder if his wife will back down on the allegations at some point. Hell hath no fury, right? But maybe not if it impacts her bottom line?

I'm not taking sides here, but we did go from her alleging he bet on NHL games ("proven" wrong so far) to sexual/domestic abuse. IMO they are both a little whacko so I literally have no idea who is telling the truth.

Business is business but if you’ve ever had an relationship argument with a woman you know it’s the land of the illogical. Their brains are wired differently.

The agent needs to get involved. Maybe the agent got paid up front on the 7 year contract… maybe not. She might listen to him.

Maybe fake news because some Canadian outlets have removed the story....

San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane is being investigated after allegations that he used a fake COVID-19 vaccination card, a source told ESPN's Emily Kaplan on Wednesday, confirming earlier reports.

When Kane was asked for comment he said "I don't know any websites named PFA or a guy named Onestep"

Kane suspended 21 games for falsifying covid status.

    Contract may also get terminated....TBD

In the Sharks dressing room Evander Kane is already an afterthought.
    -The Athletic

The upshot of the article was that the locker room has a positive vibe this year and the willingness to fuck that up doesn’t exist. Also, players families aren’t down with Kane. Threatening their health and the alleged spousal abuse.

The team dynamics closely mirrors the Bauer episode.

Players lives are cheap now when it comes to certain issues no matter how good you might be. We move on.

I kinda tipped my hat to Kane last year for performing in the face of the burden he carried. I am done with him. He’s a moron

Agreed I can't see him playing in San Jose again.

However unlike Bauer, I believe he will play in the NHL again.

IF he does make it back, I'd say -125 its with Arizona. The constant "rebuilding" team who somehow never has seen a dusty old veteran they dont want to sign.

God bless the ‘yotes. Awful with just enough offense to fulfill Simpdog’s dreams of wealth and women.

I was involved with Blues Coyotes last night and never saw a minute of football cause it was that sick.

It’s gonna be a long winter in the desert. The Yotes are a dumpster fire. Their goal tending belongs in the ECHL. Yeah that onslaught by the Blues was horrible the fact they almost made it respectable with 4 goals themselves was almost shocking seeing how badly a beat down Columbus put on them opening night.
