On my trip to Vegas last week, I happened to be in the company of late 2000s poker figure Anna Wroblewski, whom I had heard of in the past, but never met before.
She showed me a new poker app called "Dealio Poker", which is in development, but hasn't been released yet. It's a poker app where everyone is on webcam, which has been done before (and failed to catch on), but apparently this is a 2021 version and they're giving it another go. (To be fair, the previous attempt was by another company.)
To my shock, the demo of Dealiopoker included 2000s poker figure Clonie Gowen, whom I figured was out of the game permanently, as of about 10 years ago!

Also involved is Barry Greenstein, another huge 2000s poker figure who has hit upon hard times as of late. Justin Hammer, former Commerce tournament director who was apparently fired and moved on to a Texas cardroom, is also involved. Anna herself is also involved with the project.
Here's a livestream demo of it from last week:
Will this catch on? Who knows? I have to imagine it's play money, and not real money. But funny to see Clonie back.
