Advice wanted - In the St Paul MN area this weekend and looking for good things to do.

As the title says, we will be in the St Paul area this weekend.

We are currently in another part of Minnesota, but we have a hotel for Saturday and Sunday night in the St Paul area.

It is my wifes 50th birthday this weekend so I wanted to do something special. I kind of dropped the ball on getting things set. I was originally thinking about a dinner cruise or something like that but so far it looks like things are booked.

I am open to suggestions and ideas especially if you've been in the area before.

Coney island hot dogs, beer and good old fashioned patriots: Gopher Bar 7th and Wacouta St Paul. Bring cash, theres a sign above the bar that says No Fucking Checks, No Fucking Credit Cards.

    Pizza: Red Savoy's. Period.

Did you try Al and Almas for the dinner cruise on Tonka? It's not a Mississippi River cruise and it's a little bit of a trip but worth it.

If the Saints are in town, that's a always a good time, also right downtown.

Don't laugh, but MN History Museum is pretty cool. As is Science Museum but the latter is pretty dependent on what the featured exhibit is at the time.

Stay away from MOA. Complete AIDS.

Not sure if the Minnesota Zephyr is still running but it's like a dinner cruise on rails. Closer than Tonka to St Paul. Edit: just looked. Zephyr closed down in 08. So that's probably out.

Hopefully you learned a valuable lesson Gordman, this is the totally wrong site to ask about something classy, such as dinner for your wife's 50th birthday. Out of all the restaurants in MN, and I am sure there are some good ones, Wrench gives you a recommendation of a hot dog place. LOL. Ask him about local hotels, you'll get a post about the Comfort Inn with the whirlpool bath. The sheer lack of sophistication on this place is truly stunning.

He's here for 2 days, so he's only eating 1 meal? I guess reading comprehension isn't required to jam turds down the drain, I also recommended Al and Alma's, which would satisfy the request for a 50th dinner and then some.

    Dumbass.

You dope, Al and Almas requires 20 people at a minimum so let's see, that means 18 other people need to be invited. What a goon you are. The man asked for a place to take his older wife to dinner, not a fucking party boat. Stick to oil changes. And Hot Dog specials apparently.

Stick to jamming turds and tampons. You are as wrong as almost every prediction you've ever made on this site. And 90% of your recollections of the past.

Aside from their lakeside view restaurant, their dinner cruises literally run at capacity all summer long. You can walk in alone and get a spot on one. They'll probably stick some random with you if they can fill the seat, but please don't act like you know what you're talking about by google searching vs someone who's actually been there. Granted it was years ago, but I've literally BEEN THERE. You keep posting about your pretend dining experiences, it gets more hits. Leave the real life stuff to people who do things for real.

What a dope you are. Not only would anyone ever want to attend a Party Boat over the age of 30, nobody wants that shit in Covid-19. Even the cruise lines are barely running. Nobody and I mean nobody wants to attend a Covid-19 boat party in 2021. You had all these places to recommend, you pick a place to get chili dogs and a boat. Real great advice, you are failing out of control.
