Ignition and Coin Poker Stole My Money

    Ignition

I created an account and started playing a few hands when my computer started freezing up yesterday and had to quit after only playing one or two hands of zone. I then went on the next day to withdraw my funds after not wanting to play online poker anymore and I couldn't log in. I didn't remember which email I used when I signed up so I went to their support and told them this. I told them my email address, my name, my phone number, the amount of deposit, the wallet ID that I sent the bitcoin from, the link to the transaction on the blockchain, and gave them the date I opened the account, I confirmed what games I played once logged in even told them exactly what hands I played and what my action was on each street. BUT since I couldn't confirm my birthday because I didn't use my real one, they won't let me reset my password. I thought since the tables are anonomous that it didn't matter what birthday I used. Then what they did after that was even shadier. After talking to the representative, I found the piece of paper that I had written down the log in information on the night before. Then when I tried to sign in, I couldn't and I know they changed my password on me so I couldn't log in because they knew I wouldn't be able to confirm my birthday and now they get to keep my money. The support is worthless and after talking to them for over an hour in the live chat. The guy just said "I will be transferring you now and I hope I have been assistance to you" which is obviously them playing dumb because nothing had been resolved, I was giving them the information they were asking me for and they aren't that incompetent or stupid.

    Coin Poker

I am trying to withdrawal from my Coin Poker account but keep getting an error message and can't get any help from support, can't find any information on Google. The error says: "only P2PKH (starts with "1") address is supported for BTC". I don't know what that means and I used the wallet ID in my Exodus Wallet for BTC and there shouldn't be any issue with it. I made a deposit with BTC and I am supposed to be able to withdraw it to a BTC wallet. Why I can't, I don't know and their support ignores my multiple requests and hopefully someone can help me with this?

    Thanks

Thanks for your response but their support is no help whatsoever. They don't help and after not helping me then they just transfer me in the middle of our conversation for no reason and then I sit in this queue forever and nobody ever comes.

as far as Coin Poker, you'll need to use a wallet that still uses "Legacy" addresses... the new "Compatibility" (addy starts usually with a 3) or native-segwit (addy starts with a bc)... I think Blockchain might still use Legacy addresses and I know Coinomi has them

if you are still having issues, I can give you an address to send to from one of my wallets, and I can send it to whatever address you need (minus transaction fees)... it shouldn't be too hard to find a wallet that still uses "1" addresses though

Thanks for the offer but I have a wallet that starts with a 1 but they have disabled my ability to make a withdrawal. The cashier says that if you want to make a withdrawal with BTC to make a deposit with BTC which is what I have done. There is no withdrawal feature anywhere for me and they are ignoring my emails and messages. I made a deposit with BTC yesterday and I went to withdrawal today and don't even have an option to now.

Regarding Ignition, you messed up by giving a false birthdate. They are very paranoid about multiaccounting there, due to bonus abuse. I'm not saying you were abusing bonuses, but that's the reason they're so panicky about it.

I suggest you call up between 9am and 5pm EDT, Monday through Friday. Ask for a supervisor, then ask them to put you in contact with "financial services team" -- the equivalent of Ignition middle management.

Tell them the truth -- that you were confused by the anonymous tables, and didn't think the birthdate was a big deal. Tell them you had been a victim of identity theft in the past, and don't like giving that out. Ask for them to at least allow you to cash out, even if they don't want further business from you.

Be polite but firm. Make sure you are talking to someone with authority. The low level reps are useless and have no power.

Thanks for the tips and I did exactly what you suggested except it was through the live chat as I didn't know at the time that they even had a phone number to call. To make a long story short, I told them exactly what I did, said that I don't like giving my personal info out and because the tables are anonomous, I didn't think it mattered. They told me that in order to withdraw or gain access to the account, I needed to give them all my personal KYC documents to verify my identify. This was after I told them that I gave a fake birthday and a fake name so they were requesting something they knew didn't exist and that I couldn't complete. They also changed my password so that I couldn't log in and I lost access to the funds and couldn't even play with the money I put on there let alone cash out. If they were honest and said you are only allowed one account and we are seizing your funds, I would be more understanding but when I tell them exactly what happened and they then change my password locking me out of my account, and ask for something that doesn't exist it makes me think it was just because they saw an opening to take my money. That's how it feels anyway, because like I said if they have a right to take it because I broke a rule then they should just say that but since they chose this route makes me think this was just a way to steal. It's the risk I took when I decided to play on these offshore unregulated accounts anyway so I just have to learn from it and not make the same mistake.

As far as Coin Poker goes, that is a site that everyone should stay away from. The reason why my ability to withdrawal was gone was because I was ahead and winning and so I think they didn't want to allow me to leave with a profit. Their support told me in an e-mail when they finally did respond the next day that it was due to a problem with their BTC scanner which I don't buy at all. With Coin Poker they did get it fixed as I was able to make a withdrawal.

Wait, am I to understand that this was your 2nd account there?

If so, did the first account have your real info?

Bovada/Ignition is very sensitive about multiaccounting, because of their concern about bonus abuse. Did you claim a bonus on this account?

Yes that is correct, this was a second account I created and no I did not claim a bonus. When I created my 1st account on Ignition, when I tried to make a withdrawal I wasn't able to because of something to do with their bonuses. I don't remember exactly what their reasoning was but I just remember wanting to cash out, not being able to, and support telling me it had something to do with a bonus. I think it was that I hadn't earned enough points to claim it or something like that. So I declined the bonus when I created this account.
