You don't know that and never will. A child’s reaction to parental guidance is very personal and unique
They eventually turn on you just because they can. The standard father figure is going to take some heat just because they distribute what we’re taught or endured and feel the need to pass it down.
What about the parents who saw their child sign up to defend their country and were so horrified or injured that serious pain killer was their only avenue. Or what about the kid who did everything right but realized the opposite sex meant nothing to them?

Being honest, like I care about it here, if I did not get a nod from my daughter today it would rip me apart and potentially rip apart any future
relationship. I'd probably get over it just because but it may be the hardest thing you would have to deal with
