    Bitcoin wallet

Can someone recommend an easy to use wallet. Im signed in with gemini finally. I can't use blockhain having sign in problems. No trolling please, thanks in advance. I need something where I don't need seeds and all that type of shit.

I have always used Bread wallet. Often referred to as BRD.

    It’s simple.

Make damn sure you write down your recovery phrase (in case you forget password or worse). I’m not kidding.

No. I know a gambler who withdrew some funds from his book and wanted cash. Boston is a unique Bitcoin meetup place. Always has been.

You know what’s interesting is CoinMe. You see them in grocery stores. You dump in your change and they give you a ticket that you redeem at the customer service desk. That was their core business for years.

Now CoinMe sells Bitcoin from that same machine. There was a monitor over the machine promoting the service. Everyone in the checkout line had no choice but to watch it. The kiosk prints out a ticket you redeem on their website after you pump in your dollar bills.

There are situations where you can “buy” Bitcoin to trade but you can’t take delivery. It doesn’t go to your wallet.

Maybe all you want to do is trade. If you’re gonna hire a hit man or have discount plastic surgery done by a disbarred surgeon this isn’t gonna work for you.

2 or 3 years ago this was the situation with Robinhood. I heard then that Bitcoin “purchases” on Robinhood were approved. I jammed a quick purchase and then realized it was just a position. I wasn’t going to ship Bitcoin to my wallet or my Sportsbook. Now this might have changed over the years.

I hate Robinhood and never use them so maybe Bitcoin is actually being sold now. If RH was giving Bitcoin away I would tell them to fuck off. They suck.

A hardware wallet is by far and away the safest way to store your coin.

Originally I had a Trezor One but upgraded to a Trezor Model T more recently. I don't have any experience of Ledger but IMO Trezor is a slightly better bet. The main reason is that Trezor is open source compared to Ledger which is closed source. It's not a deal breaker and you are much better off with a hardware wallet than anything or anywhere else to store your crypto.

Ledger had a data breach recently where user's details were leaked which is not a great look. You don't want random thugs knowing where you live if you have a pile of crypto.

In regards to the 12/24 seed words. It's critically important to write the words down and keep the seed super secure. Don't keep any digital copy. Just write the words down on a bit of paper and keep the bit of paper safe somewhere that you and only you know. If your hardware walllet breaks then the seed means you can recover the funds. Just remember that if someone else gets the seed, then your crypto could well be lost.

Maybe your coins are safe by leaving them on an exchange, but history hasn't been kind to people in this respect, c.f. MtGox, QuadrigaCX, and others.

I know this is old ground for some but if people are asking it's best to be informed.

I'm using robinhood for my btc and eth. I know they screwed over a ton of people but the shit is smooth af. And most importantly it gives you the most coherent end of year tax statements. Only downside besides them being evil is you'll need another wallet for your shitcoins. I'm using coinbase for my lolcoins. It's alright.

If self custody isn’t important to you, check out Celsius Network. You’ll earn interest there as well and there are no withdrawal fees. There’s a recent deposit bonus ($20 for $200 held for 6 months) YESPLEASE that might still work. PM me for my referral code which will earn you some more free BTC.

If you are going to have cold storage (something I think is a good idea) just make sure you buy the ledger or whatever other device off the company website and not third party.

They could potentially send you a device and steal the contents from you.

I would rather have no password wallet. I checked exodus, they have a good reputation. Also can someone tell me difference between bitcoin cash and bch? Don't want to pay high fees. I know there are no fees with bitcoin cash. Is it because of the fork? Still would like to know difference.

Same thing. BCH is the ticker symbol for Bitcoin Cash. No fees because nobody uses it.
