LOL ok so i've actually thought about this some myself
For me the issue with self confidence was weight, being overweight and all. I was kinda lucky that I never had the Acne issues some do, or wasnt Obese really ever, but I can end up pudgy at times. Anyway lol, so someone im close to has the bald spot on his head, and what he does without really even trying to I dont think is embraces it, instead of having any hair at all he goes shave all the way, we live in Florida so hes always tan too. And for him shaved head, Tan and he is kinda cool wears, sunglasses etc so he plays it off soo perfectly the 'balding' issue and lol he woudlnt even care. Probably doesn't care actually, but he would be one someone would say oh with hair hed be bald in the back, but since he shaves it all the way, has a nice tan and all he makes that look actually good, its impressive. I got lucky hair wise, I have too much hair. weight was always my issue lol. Maybe it's all about embracing who you are, and just being you idk
