The picture itself wasn't presented as news. The picture was shown, and something like, "The judge is pictured here", and then continued on with the real story. They didn't say anything like, "The judge is pictured here getting a footrub, on a plane with convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell." The latter would definitely be slander. The former? Who knows?

Indeed he really is "pictured there" -- just the setting of the picture was doctored.

I agree it was something that shouldn't have been done, but I'm not sure if a lawsuit would succeed here, especially given that it seems there is no evidence that people took the picture seriously.

Can't believe someone who seemed to have so much poker sense could be so institutionalized by their television. Seems to happen a lot with poker players.
