What are some of your favorite dishes? Always a burrito fan, but fav is Chili Colorado, wet with red sauce. beef, chicken and shrimp are always a favorite too. Love tacos, but want to go down to Ensenada and get the fresh shrimp tacos some day.
Favorite locations in Las Vegas? I dont have any favorite places in Vegas right now.
Favorite locations actually in Mexico? Nothing right now. But there is an upscale food restaurant block in Tijuana I want to try, but dont know when I'll ever get there. They also serve sushi, etc.
And national chains you like or hate?
Like El Polo Loco as a standard go to. Up in Nor Cal, there is a Tier 2 place called Adelbertos that is open 24/7 and have very good (heavy) burritos. There is also California Burrito that is 24/7 that pretty good. Followed by Carolina's that is just ok. I always liked Chevys, but some people will debate if that is really Mexican food. El Torito and El Torito Grill (Brea, CA) has always been a high end standard. I also like Chipotle as a standard go to, just havent been in awhile.
In Nor Cal, El Tapatio Authentic Mexican Restaurants has a high value Tier 1 with really good food...
