The important thing to remember is...
So, the food is very good, especially the beef. Buenos Aires is nice, especially the Recoleta bario. Last time i was there, we went outside the city in the country farm area. My ex-inlaws had a big beautiful house on a big tract of land. Next to the house there was a separate building structure that was used to Barbecue and eat. There was a built in brick barbecue pit and several long picnic tables, enough to seat about 25 people. We ate beef, chorizo, morcilla (blood sausage), and other delicacies, with plenty of chimichurri sauce. it was totally awesome. Then after dinner we sat around and drank mate.
In the city proper, checkout Fredo for the best Dulce de leche ice cream. You can always get a great Sandwich de Miga with an Espresso for a quick snack or lunch. Also, there are a lot of Italian influences there, and it is reflected in the restaurants you will see.
The Argentinian people as a whole are very snobbish and look down on Gringos like yourself, and also look down on pretty much everyone else. They think their shit doesn't stink. They "sing" when they talk, and also extremely Anti-Semitic, except of course for the Jews that live there. Also, they are very racist against blacks and darker colored indigenous looking Spanish speaking people. The women are very beautiful and adventurous in bed. I know this because i was married to one.
Seriously, if you go, go with someone who speaks Spanish or you may not be treated well.
