Normally I would be annoyed that desertrunner just started a news thread, after everything that has happened this week here, but I actually meant to start this thread myself, so I'll allow it.

I knew this was possible, but the optimistic side of me said maybe they were just posturing in 2020.

If this is really happening, it's terrible. It will ruin the Supreme Court. It will establish a precedent where the party in power just keeps adding justices until they get the majority. The number 13 isn't random. Adding 4 justices (all D) would put the balance to 7-6 liberal, whereas right now it's 6-3 conservative.

If RBG had retired during Obama's 2nd term, I bet Dems would be looking to increase it to 11, as they'd only need 2 more justices.

But this won't end. If Republicans win in 2024, they will add two more justices to get it back to 8-7.

And so on.

Sad!

Each party games the system to their advantage whenever possible. You taught me that.

High time the Dems get in the mud with GOPedo Party and start owning heads.
