Not a drill. I don’t know much about the situation yet and we don’t know how this will end, but it sure seems like it’s priming the pump for the Chauvin riots at the very least.

Police shot and killed a 20 year old black man named Daunte Wright. Locals upset. Like I said, I don’t know anything yet about the circumstances so I will refrain from commenting.

In the Brooklyn Center neighborhood of Minneapolis, police have killed 20 year old #DaunteWright. Angry neighbors have descended in the scene, smashing a police cruiser as armored officers stand nearby.

According to witnesses, police fired into Wright’s vehicle as he was driving away from them, killing him even though he presented no physical threat to anyone. Officers are firing rubber bullets on protesters.

Some actual details-

Just before 2 p.m., officers pulled over a driver for a traffic violation and determined that the driver had an outstanding warrant, the Brooklyn Center Police Department said in a statement. Officers tried to arrest the driver but he “re-entered the vehicle,” the police said.

“One officer discharged their firearm, striking the driver,” the statement said. “The vehicle then traveled several blocks before striking another vehicle.”

The driver died at the scene of the crash in a residential neighborhood, the police said. The police also said they believed body-worn cameras and dashboard cameras “were activated” during the episode.
