Bank of America worker steals women's nudes:

    https://news.yahoo.com/texas-bank-wo...141759029.html

A former Bank of America employee in Texas is facing charges after police say he stole nude photos from female customers’ phones, court documents show.

Juan Esteban Ramirez, 27, is charged with two counts of unlawful disclosure of intimate visual material, the latest filed on Monday.

Police said Ramirez used his role as a relationship manager at a Houston Bank of America to encourage at least two women he assisted in September to hand over their phones so he could steal nude photos and video.

Bank of America said he was fired in October after the company was made aware of the allegations, KPRC reported. The bank added that it has cooperated fully with the investigation.

On Sept. 12, a woman went into the bank for help setting up an account and handed Ramirez her unlocked phone, police said. He’s accused of keeping the phone “for an extended period of time.”

Two days later, the woman started receiving nude photos and video of herself from a phone number she didn’t recognize along with text messages threatening to send the images to her parents, according to police. She changed her phone number after receiving 28 messages.

Agree there should be no racial requirement.

So just to clarify, you support this program as long as it's available regardless of race? Because your type usually doesn't like UBI programs, even though they're good for the economy and good for society.

    From the your article:

An analysis of the first year of the Stockton Economic Empowerment Demonstration (SEED) found that compared to a control group, residents who received regular payments experienced less income volatility, secured more full-time employment, were better parents and partners, and even saw improvements in their health and overall well-being.

Analyses of the programs found that the money did not stop people from working, leading Nixon to recommend expanding the program. But the proposal never made it through Congress.

Here's the article about the tryout of that UBI program in Stockton:

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/univers...g-500-a-month/

Of course, as always, there's more to the story.

First off, the "evaluation" was done by two people at universities, who claim to be "economic mobility experts". I'm sure you can guess which party they vote for in November.

[quote[Two economic-mobility experts evaluating the program — Stacia Martin West, assistant professor at the University of Tennessee, and Amy Castro Baker, assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania — say the findings so far point to an important takeaway: Financially struggling individuals — not the government — know best how to make use of monetary assistance.[/quote]

So that's the first problem with the study. It needs to be undertaken by truly neutral parties -- not those who have a predisposition to be in favor of UBI. (The same problem occurred regarding the "studies" of the BLM protests -- almost all of them were done by individuals on the far left.)

Also, this study involved only 125 people in Stockton, randomly selected, to receive $500 per month for 18 months. The article I linked is a status report midway through, at the 9 month mark. Of course, it speaks glowingly about the program.

However, it's clear that the 125 people were all aware that they were part of a pilot program being monitored, and thus were more likely to be on their best behavior. Many of them probably believed that, if it went well, this would become a permanent program for everyone -- either immediately or shortly thereafter. Therefore, it was much more likely they would be responsible and/or falsely report all positive results from it.

Additionally, free money makes people happy, so it's no shock that people receiving $500 per month were happier -- especially after just 9 months of it. However, happiness shouldn't be what's being measured here, since nothing is truly free -- these are other people's tax dollars being handed out. It needs to be studied whether 1) these people deserve the money, when they are able-bodied and can otherwise support themselves, and 2) whether this money will push people away from low-paying, unpleasant jobs.

I'm sure you will find some people receiving UBI who will simply treat it as a way to supplement their normal income. However, that defies common sense for most low-income people, who tend to hold menial, tedious, unfulfilling jobs. Given the rise of the gig economy, many of them will do exactly what a lot of people do on unemployment or disability benefits -- take the free money, supplement it with a gig job every so often, and have all the free time in the world. I personally know people who do exactly that, and I'm sure I am not just meeting outliers.

Sorry, but this is just plain income redistribution, and I hate it. I don't need the government taking my money to simply hand out to people, so they can always have the option to quit working.

Government assistance should be for those who CAN'T help themselves. It should not be for people to just receive free stuff because they would be happier with more money.

Broke: Refusal to reduce poverty through UBI and universal healthcare. Complete elimination of all unions (except police lol!). Fines, Fees, Debt and Prison.

Woke: Privatization and monetization of all public goods and services. Corporate tax cuts. Automation. Yachts.

LA driver asks if anyone wants to die while pointing gun, opening fire during rush hour: TMZ- https://www.foxla.com/news/la-driver...oZlQygRIXp_MWA

LOS ANGELES - It was a chaotic scene in Los Angeles during rush hour late Tuesday afternoon when a woman who was waiting to merge onto a busy intersection lost her patience, pointed a gun through her vehicle's window, threatened to kill people, and even opened fire, TMZ reported.

The incident occurred at 5:30 p.m. at the busy intersection of Fairfax Avenue and Olympia Boulevard.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department received multiple radio calls regarding a woman firing a gun in the air.

The impatient driver was seen on video, obtained by TMZ, at a stop sign where she starts yelling at someone off-camera. Moments later, she was seen loading a gun and proceeded to yell "Anybody want to die now? Anybody?"

The video then shows the woman pointing the gun, which appeared to be a revolver, through the sunroof of the white vehicle.
    Not her first rodeo...

Disagree with AOC? You might want to start looking over your shoulder- Anti-war activist gets visit from CHP after calling 'Squad' member 'incredibly underwhelming'

    https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/tuck...itter-big-tech

If you had to sum up this moment in American history, what would you call it? Maybe the "Age of Fraud." We’re living in a time when the most powerful people in the world masquerade as the least powerful, a time when billionaires pose as helpless victims (don’t criticize Bill Gates!), when a women who literally identifies as "the Duchess of Sussex" tells Oprah she’s oppressed and Oprah nods in empathy, because Oprah’s oppressed, too.

In a moment like this, it’s not surprising that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez feels deeply sorry for herself. Ocasio-Cortez was elected to Congress a few years ago at the age of 29, beating a longtime incumbent in a race no one thought she could win. Her previous job, famously, had been waiting tables and tending bar at a taco place in Union Square. People made fun of that, but we haven’t. Say what you will about Ocasio-Cortez’s views, that’s a legitimately impressive achievement. If your daughter did that, you’d be proud.

But Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t seem proud. She seems aggrieved.

With every passing year, as her fame and power grew, she appeared angrier and more brittle. Within a month of arriving in Washington, Ocasio-Cortez had amassed a larger social media presence than any member of Congress. As of Friday, she has 12.6 million Twitter followers, nearly twice as many as Nancy Pelosi, who has been doing this for half a century. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has one of the largest political megaphones on earth. But she wants more.

IS AOC ALL TALK, NO ACTION?

Ocasio-Cortez now insists that not only should she be able to speak totally unfiltered to millions, but that no one should be allowed to disagree with what she says. In February, her office sent a mass email to supporters asking them to report anyone who criticizes her to the tech monopolies for punishment.

"Scan your social media to find posts with misleading information," the email read, "use the built-in report feature to flag them for moderators."

What is this? It’s pretty straightforward, really. Here you have one of the most powerful politicians in the country using the most powerful companies in the world to censor her political opponents.

Fantastic. Good for him. He should live well.

Not everyone can take a vow of poverty and live a life of service like Trump.

An audiologist could hardly believe the size of a massive earwax chunk he had just pulled out of his patient’s ear during a Feb. 22 procedure that was captured on video.
