So apparently this was an incel who was going to sex workers a lot, and there's a story that he had some kind of argument with one of the places.

This looks more like a personal vendetta or psychotic spree killing than any racist act toward Asians. Reminds me a bit of the Thousand Oaks Borderline Bar shooting of 2018, except that one was white-on-white, so there was no possible racial element for the media to exploit.

That didn't stop CNN from putting out headlines such as, "It's immaterial whether the accused killer in the Atlanta spa shootings admits to a racist motivation. Asian Americans have been living in fear for months."

Somehow we're back to the xenophobia against Asians angle which was used by Democrats in early 2020. Is this something we're going to revisit at the beginning of each year?

This is a false crisis which Democrats are inventing, in order to blame Trump and Republicans for stoking fear and violence. The narrative is that racist whitey is attacking Asian people because Trump said "China virus". In reality, most of the cross-race violence against Asians is committed by.... wait for it.... black people!

So either white supremacists have tremendous influence in the black community, or this is yet another fake reason to blame Republicans and Trump for something, which of course will then result in the justification for more censorship of right wing news and social media.

As you might imagine, I know a lot of Asian people from my time in both poker and the software industry, and none of them feel like they're in danger from white supremacists. Ask the typical Asian person if they'd rather walk through a white part of the deep south or Compton late at night, and I think you know which answer they'll give you.

Oddly enough, 30 years ago the media would have loved to jump on one of the primary causes of this, the sex industry. In this case, the roots would be porn. Kid was in rehab for sex addiction at 19!
