DesertFag - Then it's pointless to say others have no credibility. You see how that works, dumbass?

In a perfect world, I'd say the cop deserves a 3-6 month max slap on the wrist for not delivering aid, in addition to being personally and professionally ruined, which has already happened.

I have a big problem throwing the book at cops who have to deal with multiple felon, fake bill passing, arrest resisting, drug addicts, day in and day out, and judges who let them out to do it over and over again.

It's rather telling that one side is going to burn down Minneapolis either way, and it's symbolic of the fact they reject all institutions of this county, and want mob rule. Very insurrection-y if you ask me.
I agree with part of this, but not in Chauvin's case.

This guy was a rotten cop going back many years. He had a long history of bad behavior in the department, and he should have lost his badge years ago.

This wasn't the case of a good cop making a mistake when dealing with a large guy on drugs who was acting erratically. Chauvin was a ticking time bomb and likely to do something really bad at some point. Had Floyd been white, this would have likely been mostly ignored, and confined to local media in Minneapolis.

This wasn't a racist killing. I see no evidence of that. If Chauvin was this awful racist who hated black people, he would have refused Floyd's request to roll down the squad car window, and enjoyed watching him suffer with his claustrophobia. Instead, Chauvin agreed to roll it down, which wasn't even a requirement.

The media can't be honest about this. It was a bad cop who acted in a reckless fashion once he got tired of the drug-addled suspect repeatedly resisting being brought to the station, and the victim was a guy with a ton of problems and a drug addiction. Race didn't play into it. The same thing would have happened if Floyd was a large white guy.

It should have been a teaching moment to make it easier to fire bad cops. Instead, it became a reason to burn down cities, and for the media to push the narrative that most cops abuse black people.

Chauvin should be convicted of manslaughter and police brutality, and get a fairly long sentence.

Police unions should be weakened, and it should be far easier to fire bad cops.

The media should be honest, and push the truth that this wasn't about racism, and that black people are not victimized my police, for the most part. The media won't do this, because they're a propaganda arm for the DNC now.

    Sad!
Just because he didn't keep him in the car isn't definitive proof he isn't racist. I'm not saying he is, but that specific act isn't proof.

Obviously, Desert Fag will dismiss this, but since he's not an expert, and a schlub posting stupidity, his opinions mean 0.0

    https://www.cbsnews.com/live-updates...th-2021-04-09/

Testimony resumed Friday in the trial of Derek Chauvin, the fired Minneapolis officer charged in George Floyd's death, with another medical expert testifying that Floyd died of oxygen deprivation — not drugs, as the defense has suggested.

The first witness to take the stand was forensic pathologist Dr. Lindsey Thomas, who testified for the prosecution. She said Floyd would not have died that day if he hadn't been restrained by the police, and explained that she was able to rule out a heart arrhythmia or fentanyl overdose as case of death.

"The actions of the law enforcement officers resulted in Mr. Floyd's death — specifically, those actions were subdual, restraint and neck compression," Thomas said.

Thomas testified she was able to use the video of the fatal arrest to help her rule out other causes of death, including a heart arrhythmia and a fentanyl overdose, two causes the defense has suggested.

Thomas said someone who died of a heart arrhythmia would typically experience a sudden death. She described an example of someone shoveling snow, clutching their chest and falling over fairly quickly. But in Floyd's case, she said, "There was nothing sudden about this death."

She said she was also able to use the video to rule out a fentanyl overdose, during which someone would typically become sleepy and their breathing would gradually slow. Thomas said she "felt comfortable" ruling out both of those causes of death.

Her testimony came a day after another medical expert, Dr. Martin Tobin, testified Floyd died from a low level of oxygen that damaged his brain and caused his heart to stop under the weight of officers pinning him down. Emergency physician and forensic medicine specialist Dr. Bill Smock took the stand Thursday and gave a similar opinion, saying Floyd died not of a drug overdose but because he had "no air left in his body."

Chauvin, who was seen in disturbing videos kneeling on Floyd's neck for more than nine minutes, is charged with second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.

Chauvin has pleaded not guilty. The other three officers involved are charged with aiding and abetting, and are expected to be tried jointly in August.

Pathologist: Floyd would not have died without police restraint

Dr. Lindsey Thomas testified Floyd would not have died on May 25, 2020 if it weren't for the police restraint.

"There's no evidence to suggest he would have died that night, except for the interactions with law enforcement," Thomas said.

Thomas said she believes a contributing factor to his cause of death was physiological stress, giving an example of the rush of adrenaline and increased heart rate someone experiences when they narrowly avoid a car crash. But rather than momentary stress, in Floyd's case, "this goes on for minute after minute after minute, for nine minutes, where you are terrified, and you can't... there's no recovery."

Thomas said physiological stress was not a direct cause of Floyd's death.

She agreed with a county medical examiner who found Floyd's manner of death to be a homicide. The Hennepin County medical examiner's office has said that "is not a legal determination of culpability or intent."

When you get someone so fundamentally one way like this Politically. I usually see it as maybe a bunch of closed mindedness or small life stuff in way of thinking, but idk a closed life maybe even. Him he had his little stint in the Military but id imagine that was decades ago, the whole world is different now if soo (LOL..) so idk. Honestly thought, aside from these threads I stumble into this stuff, I dont pay much mind to it all.

My quick synapse and real on him is, served some time in the MIlitary decades ago, It means alot to him, it does to some people, end up defining them in a way really. And I get it for some but not everyone. After that id imagine he lives in a desert or maybe California area as a die hard not Liberal, so he fights for his own political ideology. But thats a sign of sheltered too, and not really having seen much of the other side of it maybe. Idk, but he is ex MIlitary has gone very far and may think the desert is actually berautiful, or Nevada not realizing that in reality. Its a chithole in all actuality =).....

anyway thats my rea don him, and could be WAYyy off course course, but stil fun right haha....

so on top of everything else that caused him to die, he was literally scared to death by police.

Only NBC was merely reporting the testimony from the trial. It wasn't an op-ed. The same with the CBS news story I just posted.

This Verdict could spark things off here...

    https://news.yahoo.com/live-chauvin-...134733208.html

Jury Deliberation may not be too long here, and the longer it goes its not a Lock either way then of course. This is such a hot button, controversial issue that depending on the result of this it really could spark off some big trouble, Riots, who knows because if he say were to be acquitted, and he was a Cop so it is possible, that might people to go ballistic I think..

Stay tuned I have a feeling this is all about to get very interesting lol.....

This is a controversial issue that could lead to riots? Are you serious? I hadnt heard this yet. Maybe provide proof? I just cant believe that could possibly be true.

    Also, shut up Garrett.
It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?
