I'd suggest buying something but you can't buy anything.
what is "transactions disabled" for 1000

during the run-up i had two jaren jackson jr moments that i couldn't de-list because the site is janky
i had originally listed them at a pretty aggressive price, but when i could see they might sell i tried to cancel the sale all day and couldn't
luckily PLOP bought one for me and decided to keep it while i put in a little more money to move up to a better serial number
i still lost about $300 worth of equity on the x/3999 JJJ moment that i also couldn't delist that was bought
and OSA owes me some lobster mac n cheese because i got PLOP into it who then got him into it
i don't want to decrease my chances of getting a pack anymore but if you are not trying to get in on this you are passing up free money on the ground
the premium pack that was dropped today cost $99 and had an EV around $3500, and there were cards in those packs that will probably be sold for 6 figures

Hi Lew!!!
i wouldn't suggest new users to try to get into this by buying through the marketplace
unlike last week where everything went up, you might lose your ass unless you have a really good feel for what's going on, or are prepared to hodl for quite some time - i've made plenty of mistakes myself
the best way in is to get lucky and snag a pack
Hi Lew!!!
they are releasing 600k packs tomorrow for pre-order
each pack is $9, but will take up to two weeks to be delivered to your account
queue begins at 10am PST, must be in queue by 2pm PST to be allowed to pre-order
limit 1 pack per customer
the EV of the $9 pack used to be about $35, but with this amount of moments hitting the market that should drop substantially
still doesn't mean you couldn't pull a #1 or jersey serial number, but for commons this will drive the price down for sure
edit: to clarify, these are all new moments that have yet to be released - which will still drive down the price on series 2 commons because players will have more moments, supply and demand

Hi Lew!!!
Are influencers like plop getting better access?
access from me, in the butt
but yes, they do save some packs for influencers and NBA players
earlier this week you couldn't go two hours without an NBA player tweeting about top shot
btw, if you'd like to follow a good top shot twitter account @thefirstmint is probably the best and will be one of the first to announce pack drops
Hi Lew!!!
Is it possible to actually bet the downside of this all. Or 'short' it all some way. This is 100% built off the hype and will be a pile worth shit in time. Im 100%surenof this aobhownd I get some downside exposure on this all....
Thanks
OSA im born in the first cpl months of 1979
I am 100% a Gen-X'r and actually one of the youngest in I was born the first few months of Gen-X. But you and I don't even live anywhere near the same stratosphere, but just lol if you think I'm wrong and just dumb. In time you'll see you overpaid for a bunch of shit, literaly...
LMAO he actually refered to me as a 'boomer' wow. And honestly I'm already starting to feel a lil old these days. Now I'm being considered a 'boomer' too.
Ouch and that breaks my heart honestly...
lol somehow I missed the e-mail last night that new signups were open, so I didn't get an account, so I missed today's drop.
I'll get it right one of these days.
This pack probably returns $10-30 unless you pull Lebron or a rookie. Still worth the $9.
This is the best crypto based idea I've seen and probably the best ever.
They have a deal with the UFC and I think the rare or super-rare (or whatever they call the rarest card) of Khabib choking Conor will set the record for biggest sale on the site.
So many rich Arabs adore that moment. Assuming that moment becomes available, I can't imagine the rarest version worth less than a million based on current valuations of the NBA players.
I dk what the UFC roadmap is or what the site will be called, but there is big time Silicon Valley VC money behind this site. It's going to be a e-commerce Goliath.
Dapper Labs. Remember the name.
Does "transactions are disabled for maintenance" mean no commerce is happening on the site or what exactly?
I just read an article about the site that makes it sound like a 8th tier offshore poker site. Apparently withdrawals are quite difficult to get through, and even if you do, who knows when you get your money. It also mentioned the frequency of the site and its market being down.
I've heard this, too. It's kinda been glossed over.
"You have to wait awhile for withdrawals, BUT...."
It's like what I say when people ask what my favorite two things about Bovada are. "Fast withdrawals and fast withdrawals."
Doesn't sound like they're busto, but it does sound like they weren't prepared for this influx, and they won't be for quite some time.
Yeah I don't assume there is anything scammy going on, but like my analogy calling top shots video game skins, I think what is happening is similar to small indie game designers who have their games blow up out of nowhere. This happened with Among Us recently, and is now happening to a certain extent with Valheim. Just not prepared for handling success.
Nonetheless, definitely a thing that should be known for anyone thinking of investing a substantial amount of money in it.
