Got one of the 2,500 holo packs today and pulled Lamelo. Pretty stoked, thinking $8k-$10k but not sure.

Have to maintain at least 20 moments to gift packs. I have purchased 2 or 3 moments for 1k each in the past as well

I forgot to give a heads up on this for the latest drop (Playoffs Pack, Series 2, Release 2). Happened yesterday. I figured around average $60 in EV was there and that's what I got. Everyone who was eligible got a pack I think. With this drop, they actually told you the collector score you needed (but for the first time ever, they let you know when you needed it by --- Friday). The score was 100 pts., but, since they gave a bonus of 50 pts. if you held 3 moments from your favorite teams (12+12+12=36 base points) you only needed two more moments to reach 52 base points. (36+12+12). Now add your bonus and your at 52+50=102 pts. and BAM, you were eligible.
Since you could pick up those 5 moments for 3 or 4 bux, it cost around $15 worth of "shit moments" to be eligible to make $50 to $60 in EV. And you'll get most of that $15 back too when you sell them.
Ahhhh, sure, it's still to small an EV play, but it was fun, especially when you have control of your old man's account.
Free money still (but I wouldn't waste my time with packs they offer that are CC - Ciculating Common for $9).

Here's some conspiracy theory shit for the tinfoil hats. TopShot gave away 8 tickets to game 5 of the finals, airfare, etc etc. Anyway, one of the 8 guys that won one of those packages also pulled the #1 Chris Paul rare today and is a discord moderator. What are the odds?

Got lucky again today and pulled the Booker legendary. Not sure what it will go for, this pack was pricey at $799.
I bailed out of Topshot. cost me like 40 bucks after he 25 xfer fee;.. good exp though. it is the future.
Anyone Luv the WNBA? Top Shot doing their first "Best of the WNBA" general pack drop today (I think they'd given out some limited WNBA moments earlier).
Funnily enough, the general queue opened and of the 54.5K packs available at $9 each, I got the #35,000-something and a family member got #38,000-something, so we will collectively will throw $18 *and* caution out the window, because, you know, this is Top Shot AND the WNBA.
One LOL is u had to own an A'ja Wilson NFT to get in on the priority queue for this drop. That card got bid up into the upper $100s/$200s, presumably for the priority queue access chance. Long live the whacky WNBA.

I saw there were 60,419 packs remaining out of the 54,500 packs they were dropping for the general queue for today's WNBA drop. How is that possible you say? Any unbought packs from the priority queue were to be added to the general queue they said, that's how. This implies at least 6,000 packs were unpurchased in the priority queue that had 10k packs. It's even worse because at least 1K of the general queue packs would have been purchased by 1:11 when they said there was 60,419 remaining of 54,500.
I actually watched a WNBA game on TV recently, it was only OK.

I know nobody even cares, but, we bought each girl for $3 (1/3 of the $9 per pack cost) and sold each and every one for $10.
6 ladies * $7 profit = $42.
Surprised this was profitable (over 300% as a matter of fact). But as usual with Top Shot, small potatoes money, no way to scale unless you multi account.
Like someone in the horsey NFT thread said, NBA Top Shot did have prices recover some in the past 3-4 weeks...like over a 50% recovery.
Oh, and I think the general queue was eventually "over-subscribed" by about 20,000-30,000 more wanting to buy than the 64,500 WNBA packs available.
A continuation of unimportant WNBA Top Shot news:
The ladies of the NBA (that no one wanted yesterday, you had an 80% chance of getting a pack yesterday and realizing a purchase price of $3 per femme basketball player) are almost all at least $15 per moment now, with some much higher (adored players, low serial #s).
This Top Shot may have some gas left in the tank yet.
I'm up about 10k in the last month on top shot.
