    Report: Update On Tiger Woods’ Injury Recovery

    Tiger Woods continues to make progress on his injury recovery following his serious car accident in Southern California back in February.

    The 15-time major champion sustained multiple serious leg injuries during his car accident. Woods was reportedly speeding, driving 83 miles per hour in a 45 MPH zone, at the time of his accident. He suffered multiple serious leg injuries in the crash and was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent surgery.

    Woods has since been able to go home, where he’s making progress on his recovery.

    According to George Savaricas of Golf Channel, Woods has one next major step when it comes to his recovery.

    “Have a Tiger Woods injury update, hearing TW at the point in the healing process where the next benchmark is for blood circulation to get back to normal in his injured right foot. Once this happens recovery timelines will fall into place, currently in “wait and see” mode,” he tweeted on Monday morning.

    Woods posted an update on his recovery last month.

    “My course is coming along faster than I am,” Woods wrote in a post on Instagram. “But it’s nice to have a faithful rehab partner, man’s best friend.”

    Woods, 45, hopes to play professional golf again. Everyone in the golf world is hoping that he will be able to do just that. It’s good to see that he is continuing to make progress with his recovery.

    Tiger Woods has resumed swinging a golf club again ... the legendary ball-striker just posted a video of the incredible feat, and he looks GOOD.

    The 45-year-old -- who badly injured his right leg in a car crash back in February -- showed the footage on Sunday morning ... revealing he's been cleared to swing his irons again.

    In the clip, Tiger can be seen hitting a ball at far less than 100 percent of his normal, pre-crash swing ... but the strike is still clean and the ball still traveled far nonetheless.

    It should be noted, Tiger's divot pattern on the ground suggests he took a BUNCH of swings during the session ... and it seems he was planning to take even more given the number of range balls left in his basket.

    It's all an amazing sight for Tiger and golf fans -- particularly considering how Woods looked while walking into a hotel in Los Angeles just days ago.

    Tiger was spotted sporting a noticeable limp ... and many wondered how it'd possible for him to swing a club again given how gingerly he was moving.

    No word on if Tiger's been cleared to swing the driver or even play on actual courses yet ... but watch the video again -- it's clear that's all coming soon if it hasn't already.

    As messed up as it sounds this wreck may have been the best thing to happen to him. He’s finally reached that point in life where he just has to accept the fact he isn’t going to break that majors record. He’s always been living for one thing and that’s golf and the fame and fortune that went with it. He now is going to be able to focus on the shit that really matters in life and that’s his kids and family etc. He can probably play the Seniors tour down the road once he’s improved as much as he can. Truth is he now has faced his own mortality and how lucky he is to be alive and still be able to walk at all with both legs. He didn’t learn his lesson with the drugged driving incident clearly and fucked up his marriage with all the shit that came out after it. Maybe he’s finally learned you don’t get a lot of extra chances in life and that one day he won’t get another it’ll be his number is up.

    Because you you know everything? In a brand new vehicle there are many features that protect the occupants when accidents occur. People serious about suicide choose methods that provide the greatest chance of success.

    Tiger Woods said Wednesday he will play with his 12-year-old son, Charlie, next week in the PNC Championship.

    "Although it's been a long and challenging year, I am very excited to close it out by competing in the PNC Championship with my son Charlie,'' Woods tweeted. "I'm playing as a Dad and couldn't be more excited and proud.''

    The 36-hole event begins Dec. 18 in Orlando and is for major champions and a family member.

    Last year, Woods and Charlie tied for seventh. It was the last time he played competitively before his Feb. 23 car crash that had him hospitalized and led to months of rehab for his right leg and foot.

    Last week, Woods said he had a "long way to go" before he would be ready for PGA Tour golf but acknowledged that "hit-and-giggle" events could work. Woods will be allowed to use a golf cart.

    "We have been liaising with Tiger and his team for some time and are delighted that he has now decided to make his return to competitive golf at the PNC Championship,'' Alastair Johnston of IMG, the executive chairman of the event, said in a statement.

    The PNC Championship was formerly known as the Father-Son Challenge until it changed the title to be more inclusive of family members. For the first time in its 24 years, the tournament has a current No. 1 player in the field, Nelly Korda, who will play with her father, Petr, a former Australian Open tennis champion.

    Lee Trevino is playing again and has never missed the tournament since it began in 1995. Justin Thomas returns as the defending champion with his father, Mike, a longtime PGA professional.

    Fans are returning to the Ritz Carlton Golf Club Orlando, and it already is close to a sellout because organizers limit ticket sales to preserve the intimate nature of the event.
