The first one is gritty and dark, an effective horror movie full of subtlety with brilliant set pieces.
I was hopeful for Soldado, especially since it was directed by the Gomorrah director, but found it dumb as shit and attempting to solely capitalize on the climactic shock moment at the end of the first film -- only for the whole movie. Its not bad but one of the most needless sequels in recent years.
