I’ve been looking to deversify my bonds so have been pricing some gold/silver.
eBay prices are outrageous. Gold Oz coins are 2300 silver 38.
Definitely need to buy from a dealer and not online.
I mentioned this to my buddy who has a lot of experience in this kind of thing when I mentioned stockpiling precious metals. He said yes if you plan on holding it for 10 or more years he said instead buy stocks from producers. He pointed me to AEM agnico eagle mines.
His rationale is as mentioned here expensive vig to buy and as well when you want to sell.
I have bought two 5 oz gold bars for my kids years ago they will get them hopefully many years from now...
