You can now play online poker legally in Michigan.

Pokerstars also opened its casino and sportsbetting products at the same time. Despite being licensed to do so, Pokerstars did not launch its products last week, when online gambling became legal. Instead, they launched all three products today, presumably because the poker product wasn't quite ready last week.
They are the first online poker room to open in Michigan. However, it appears they still weren't quite ready, as many players experienced technical difficulties downloading the software. I assume this will be fixed rather soon.
Here's a good writeup of the entire situation: https://www.vegasslotsonline.com/new...h-in-michigan/
Michigan and New Jersey are already talking about a partnership for poker, so it's possible Pokerstars New Jersey and Pokerstars Michigan can join together. There's also a Pokerstars in Pennsylvania, but to my knowledge, there hasn't been talks with that state yet.
Pennsylvania remains the largest population state to have legalized online poker, but Michigan is second, with about 10 million people, compared to the 12.8 million in PA. New Jersey has about 9 million. Nevada has about 3 million, and Delaware has just 1 million. These are the 5 states where online poker is currently legal, though it's also legal in DC but nothing has been done there. Combined, these five states have about 36 million -- only about 11% of the US population. California, with 40 million people, has more population than these five states combined, and would be a huge addition to the online poker market if it were to become legal there.
