Obnoxious Tapatalk popup

Hi everyone,

I updated Tapatalk's plugin today, as I got a notification that our plugin was obsolete, and required update.

I just learned that this new update brought with it an obnoxious banner on smartphones, which urges you to use their app instead of the browser to read PFA. Obviously that's unacceptable.

I spent some time and figured out how to disable this, which was located in a file called head.inc.php. There doesn't seem to be a feature to disable it, so I had to manually modify the code.

Let me know if you still see this popup (after 12:55pm PST on 1/24/21). Also let me know if you're a Tapatalk user and anything is broken.

I don’t think this will help you, but I’ve been using the same Tapatalk app on an iPhone on PFA for months now and no changes or issues.
