Dana Whites coming for ya. There’s a nasty present hidden in the Covid relief bill that passed regarding pirated streaming and it could land folks in prison and massive fines. Apparently though taunting Dana on social media is even dumber as the one guy who’s remained nameless has a bullseye on him but there’s also indications they are looking to nail not just to folks putting out streams but also those who are connecting to them. So just be careful

No they are not, because the law does not allow that. it's very clear. The direct text of the law clearly says "It shall be unlawful to willfully, and for purposes of commercial advantage or private financial gain, offer or provide to the public a digital transmission service that etc etc..." There's only 1 prohibited act in this bill, it was very intentionally not directed at end users.

There's literally no legal mechanism for them going after the end user in any shape or form, save for any bittorrent type service where the end-user also is a sharer of the copyright material.

If I was the guy who taunted him, I would be shitting bricks and wouldn't be hosting any illegal streams or promoting them.

Or if you were a large provider maybe you sweat a bit, although if you're a large provider you're probably also hosting your servers in a country that doesn't care for copyright laws.
