Current projected completion date: July 14, 2028, the date of the opening ceremony of the Los Angeles Olympics.

We think desertrunner is right.

This has fail written all over it.

If you knew LA geography, you'd know why.

Nobody is taking commuter trains over to Rancho Cucamonga just to get on another train to Vegas, lugging their stuff the whole way. Oh, and the commuter train to Rancho Cucamonga only leaves from two places -- downtown LA and Victorville (which is closer to Vegas than Rancho Cucamonga, requiring backtracking!)
