In case anyone was wondering when the Party was going to start arresting their political opponents, it’s now.
Let’s be clear here. If you think what happened on Jan 6 was a serious attempt at a government overthrow you are retarded.

That said if you were there and decided to enter the capitol building it’s mandatory jail time. I don’t care if it was fucking DeSantis. Freedom isn’t free.

If you don’t think both sides of the aisle don’t challenge election results in 2024 you are retarded.

Democracy slowly dies. Jan 6 was just a symptom.

How much jail time do you think the protestors who bumrushed the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing in 2018 and temporarily shut it down got? This is my guess.

The problem isn't that leftists arent generally right that right wing politically motivated citizens who break laws should be punished for it appropriately. The problem is that they believe some pigs are more equal than others, and right wing motivated criminality should be prosecuted on a much, much, much, much steeper curve than left wing or nonpolitical criminality.

So with the market crashing and runaway inflation simultaneously (say goodbye to any savings), what crisis is the establishment going to generate to distract the masses? I feel like it is going to have to be something major. Pulling 30 twenty-something year old poor white dudes who haven't even done anything yet (all of whom have no history of violence to suggest they were going to do anything) out of a U-Haul just isn't going to cut it.

I guess the housing market crashing would be the last domino to fall that would really create some chaos, but my understanding is that isn't super likely, as institutional investors actual control the housing market, and are propping up the prices to force white collar people living in cities to spend $3k-$6k to rent, and not be able to buy. So as long as there is an army of white collar workers making $100k-$500K/yr willing to spend a huge chunk of they paychecks renting with no path to homebuying (other than their boomer parents eventually dying and leaving them a house) then the housing market should be fine.

These institutional investors are never selling. It’s not a trade. Rents will increase aggressively. Removing housing inventory. DR Horton and the like would prefer to build for institutional investors than retail buyers as well.

A pair of Goldman Sachs-backed ventures gobbled up an entire rental home community in Florida last month for a cool $45 million, according to reports.

Fundrise Interval Fund and Growth eREIT VII picked up 87 single-family properties in Brevard County as part of an ongoing southern spending spree.

Fundrise previously snatched up a 120-unit development in Pensacola
and has been pouring money into other rental developments in states like South Carolina and Mississippi.

How do you know the criminal history of 31 ppl from 10 states? Source? On the 1st business morning after their arrest. Poor, but found $$$ to get to Coeur D' Alene. Should we take their own words as an indication of their goals? Or, Don't judge me, I'm just playing with the boys for fun. No victory. No conquering. What's left?

The reason all workers deserve a living wage is because all workers need to be alive. Not very complex.

You mean the ones who waltzed in the completely open door and entered in the very much public hearing?

Not exactly the same is it.

And the ones who did disrupt the hearings once there were in fact arrested.

The better analogy, if that’s your point, is to compare to the BLM riots on the previous summer.

BREAKING NOW: Texas Republicans push for a referendum to vote on the state SECEDING FROM THE UNITED STATES in 2023 at meeting that declared Biden's win illegitimate.

Don’t worry, fellas. This is totally normal. It’s not like the United States has become a banana republic or anything.

Well, I dont doubt some of them were arrested. I doubt any of them served a second of serious jail time. Arresting someone and then quietly dropping all the charges (which is what happens with a lot of left wing political terrorism/violence) is a lot different than what is going on with the (mostly peaceful) Jan 6th protestors getting the book thrown at them. But yeah, you could also make my point with the BLM riots, where we are seeing a lot of the same things. The bureaucracy that is the federal govt, especially the enforcement arms of it, taking sides and treating left and right wing criminality differently just seems like very bad business with a predictable bad outcome; yet here we are.

Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.): “Would you say that the war in Ukraine is the primary driver of inflation in America?”

Fed Chair Powell: “No. Inflation was high before, certainly before the war in Ukraine broke out.”

Either Powell or Biden is lying.

Texas is the only state that might actually have the right to secede for the US, because they were an independent nation that joined the Union via a treaty. Good riddance.
