Phil Spector croaked in prison at the age of 80.

Spector was an innovative musical genius in the '60s, who created the "Wall of Sound" production technique, which was highly successful at the time. "Da Doo Ron Ron" was an example of a song produced with this technique, in 1963:




Spector unfortunately was a complete nutcase, who was known for pointing guns at people's heads, and frequently acting erratic. Finally he ended up killing actress Lana Clarkson in 2003, and was convicted for the crime. He died in prison on January 16.

he may well have been a glock guy too, but when he was feeling murdery, an unregistered .38 Special Colt Cobra was his weapon of choice, apparently.

Ronnie Spector let everyone know what a creep he was years ago. Spector single-handedly kept the Ronettes out of the RRHOF for decades.
