I mean almost everything else has some political angle besides the long running Musk and sports betting threads which are active. It’s a political site for the most part now, or at least until Trump leaves. Even then, it will be about him most likely.

We are old and boring now. I also forget the subforums exist. I wander in every few months and find some debate that’s already been going on for 3 months. I wish it would all just be this forum, so I don’t miss interesting threads.

It's extremely low, and honestly site=joke these days. 27 threads on the front page can immediately be classified as 'political' just based on title alone. That doesn't count the number of threads that are being derailed every day. Posters I used to like and respect have turned into fanatical fucking lunatics who go around every thread attacking other posters who I used to like and respect. Maybe you're right, I'm too old and boring. I don't come here for a political roundtable where far left and far right lunatics are attacking each other endlessly in every thread and every post.

7-8 years ago the front page was littered with people posting sports wagering calls. Having experienced this at another forum I frequented I created the “official PFA wagering thread” which still lives on today and is the #2 Thread of all time behind the Trump one. It has helped the constant new threads on sports betting and also helps because people can talk about ideas/theories of semi successful strategies that wouldn’t apply When someone creates a “team X is a lock” thread.

I think we can use that here for the politics.

The Trump thread was great because everyone just piled in there. We were OK still when we added the COVId thread which turned political along the way. Now we have 15 different variants of the same bullshit.

I’m sure Druff doesn’t want to be heavy handed on it but it would be helpful to only have 2-3 threads on politics.

Me- Still have subject matter consolidation- Instead of 5 Trump threads, marrow them down to Trump and the current topic. People get lost in the massive threads.

Also, if Druff would start enforcing the posted house rules here, it would help.
