    Over playing

Do you guys ever over play online? I was analyzing my game and noticed that after about 4 to 5 hours playing my win rate goes way down or even negative. I’m still grinding .25/.50 .50/1$.

I’m wondering if anyone else deals with poker fatigue? I play on bovada and when I get up 2.5/3 buy ins I switch tables so it’s not really leaks in my game since bovada doesn’t have SN. Any advice?

After losing about $700 over 4 months, I gave up on line poker for good for 2 reasons. First, I got bored and was incapable of playing my A game most of the time. Second, I saw more “weird” hands go down than I’d seen in 15 years playing in b&m card rooms.

There are a couple of possibilities. Fatigue and boredom are likely candidates. For me, low stakes online just cannot hold my interest like the same stakes in live action. Yesterday I played in a $6 tournament on ACR and after 5 hours I finished 40th out of about 800 for a net profit of $21. Won't do that again soon. ( know multitabling for volume is the answer but I just can't do it.)
Now I only play 5-10-20 9 handed sit-n-go's. They only last an hour or so and you can make $90 in the 20 game.

Another possibility is regression toward the mean, a principle that says maybe you're an average player and your results will eventually move to the middle, not counting rake.

Bots may also be a problem, even at micro levels, but I wouldn't give too much credence to "too many weird hands." Truth is, you DO eventually see all that stuff live, it just takes longer.

It’s more Boredom, my opening range gets about 15% wider after about four hours. I limited my social life to 3 1/2 hours. I’ll be curious to see if it makes a difference.

I was just wondering if anybody else’s deals with this issue. I don’t think online is rigged, there’s just some really good players. I can’t wait to get back to live.

simple answer is its decision fatigue. it's a major reason that pre-flop charts to exist. after 3-4 hours of hundreds or thousands of small decisions, your brain gets tired, and is more willing to make bad decisions than they were up top.
