This occurred shortly before the start of the game. It's not clear if she did this on purpose, or if she accidentally fell over while holding her child. Sad, but also strange.
Oh, and the Giants are a stunning 52-28 away from home. I don't remember the last time I saw an away record like that. Maybe one of those really dominant Yankees or Mariners teams?

If the Dodgers go 4-2 and still finish second, they will be the best second-place team in the division era, which began in 1969. Previously, the 1993 Giants (103-59) held that title, finishing 1 game behind the Atlanta Braves, who were oddly in the NL West.
There has also never been a 105-win second-place team in all of MLB history. However, note that MLB played 154 games for a long time, so there were a few teams with better records than 105-57 which didn't win 105 games. Druff I’m sure as a Dodgers fan you find this frustrating, and rightfully so. But think about that 1993 Giants team. They had a 10 game lead at the All-Star break, and then the Braves traded for Fred McGriff and went on an absolute tear down the stretch to come back and win the division on the last day of the season. So the Giants who had the MVP in Bonds got to sit home and watch the Braves shit the bed in the playoffs once again.
This was the last season before they split the two divisions in each league into 3 and added 1 wild card team. Giants definitely got screwed that year.

Ride. If it’s a battle between players on losing teams. Soto has the meats. If the Phillies make the playoffs I’m hedged with a Phillies division winner future. What is more important to me is the politicking now by influential folk for Soto. I received the 16 year old Bryce Harper Sports Illustrated cover in the mailbox. (Dad tied our horses to this same mailbox after we rode into town). So the hype never really squared with how it unfolded for him. People love prospects.
