Erik Sonstegard was victimized by Caesars' negligence once, and now it's happening again.

In 2013, the Rio accidentally checked in a stranger to his room, who then stole $3k and Erik's iPad.

The Rio admitted the mistake, and in fact questioned the thief, who admitted to taking $1k and the iPad "by accident", claiming he was tired and thought it was his own stuff. Yeah right.

However, $2k was still missing. Amazingly, the Rio WOULD NOT GIVE HIM THE DIFFERENCE, until Erik made a big deal about it on social media, including an appearance on PFA Radio. It had a happy ending, as Erik was finally made whole.

Now, seven years later, Erik is again battling with Caesars over an obvious case of theft, where Caesars was once again negligent. In this case, Erik lost $700 worth of RCs (70,000 of them, worth 1c each), when some thief used his Caesars Rewards card to charge items at various places around Paris and Planet Hollywood.

Unbelievably, the hold-up in restoring his RCs is because the various outlets where the fraud was committed are lazy and don't seem to want to bother digging up the receipts! So Erik is left in a holding pattern, with his RCs not reimbursed, until these outlets/restaurants feel like sending in the receipts to the department investigating this! This has gone on for over 2 months! Unbelievable!

In case you might think this might be Erik's fault, it's not. Caesars requires an ID check for every use of RCs, and it's unlikely the thieves had a phony Erik Sonstegard ID made up, just to steal his RCs. It looks like either an inside job, or the thieves know of certain outlets where they fail to check ID.

I understand Caesars wanting the receipts, but if their own company's outlets are failing to provide the receipts, they need to just close it and give Erik back his damn $700 in RCs. Insane.
